The duration of the infusion is determined by the degree of severity of the pain syndrome. It can range from thirty to one hundred and eighty minutes.

To prevent postoperative pain, the infusion is performed using a "shock" dose (twenty-five to fifty milligrams for fifteen to sixty minutes). In the future, drip administration is continued at a rate of five milligrams per hour until the maximum allowed daily dose is reached.

In acute conditions or to relieve the aggravation of the chronic form of the disease, a single intramuscular injection is allowed. Further treatment course is carried out by oral administration of the drug, taking into account the maximum allowable dosage - 150 milligrams (including, on the day of injection).

Carrying out long-term therapy presupposes control over liver function, pattern of peripheral blood, analysis of feces for the presence of hidden blood.
