Stewed squids. Pozza and taste of marine life

Seafood is traditionally and widely used in dishes of Spanish, French, Italian cuisine. In general, it is difficult to name representatives of the Mediterranean region, which with special trepidation would not apply to dishes from marine inhabitants. Recently, they, who were considered only recently delicate and quite rare guests in Russian cuisine, take their place on our tables.

This is no wonder! Due to the high content of very valuable protein in them, the assimilation of which takes a longer time than the protein of the fish, these products are much more nutritious. They contain few carbohydrates and fats, so they can be perfectly used as a product for weight loss, on which the so-called Mediterranean diets are based .

In addition, seafood is rich in vitamins and minerals, which help strengthen bones and teeth, and support the health of the thyroid gland. A special role belongs to the omega-3 acids, which reduce the cholesterol accumulating in the body, thereby protecting our heart and blood vessels from heart attacks, strokes and other misfortunes. The list of seafood is extensive. This is, first of all, sea kale and shrimp, oysters and mussels, lobsters, crabs and squid.

At the last we will stop in detail. Squid is especially rich in protein, they contain vitamins C and B, trace elements. To date, squid can be bought in almost any supermarket. Stewed squids or salads with their use are very tasty. However, their correct choice and subsequent preparation plays a big role here. Choose only frozen squid carcasses so that they do not bitter and do not creep away during cooking. They also do not have to be stuck together, they are supposed to be easily separated from each other.

So, we chose the squid, now it's up to the little one to prepare them. As a rule, dishes from squid do not require a lot of time, but the result, with the correct compliance with the recipe, exceeds all expectations.

Let's try, for example, braised squid.

You will need:

  • Squid meat - 500 gr;
  • Milk - 1.5 cups;
  • Onion - 2 pieces;
  • salt;
  • Flour - 2.5 tbsp. Spoons;
  • pepper.

Meat squid unfrozen (possible in cold water). Next, you need to clean the top film and rinse well in running water. Squids are cut into longitudinal strips, salted to taste and fried with the addition of flour. Onion (it will be necessary to cut it finely) is also lightly fried in vegetable oil. After a few minutes, pour in the flour and continue frying for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Transfer the onion and squid into a deep frying pan or saucepan, add milk, salt, pepper, close the lid and simmer for 25-30 minutes.

So, how to extinguish squid you already know. Only half an hour, and your guests will be delighted. Now try to cook the baked squid.

Required products:

  • 500 gr squid;
  • 500 g of champignons (fresh);
  • 2 onions;
  • cheese;
  • 1 tbsp. A spoonful of sour cream;
  • 1 tomato;
  • greenery.

Peeled squid is boiled in salt water for a few minutes, then cut into strips. Chop onion, fry, add chopped mushrooms and fry until ready. We cut tomato and greens, then we need to put sour cream, salt. Mix everything with squid. Shape the oil with oil, then lay out the squid with mushrooms, cover with grated cheese and bake in the oven at a maximum temperature of 10-15 minutes.

By the way, stewed squid can be mixed with any pre-cooked or toasted side dish, for example, rice, pearl barley, mushrooms, vegetables and you have an easy and hearty supper. In addition, stewed squids are delicious with various sauces. Try them with any: sour cream, ketchup, mustard, and also with the addition of garlic, basil, celery root, apples.
