Soups for children - a real benefit or a tribute to the traditions?

In our country, soup is an indispensable attribute of any dinner, so children are taught to it from early childhood. Even from grandmothers, everyone remembered that the liquid first is necessary. However, today experts argue about whether soups for children are so useful. Someone refers to the fact that the broth contains a lot of carcinogens and other hazards. Those who advocate a different point of view, say that it is very useful for digestion.

Mom listens carefully, and most of them agree that soups for children are needed. Indeed, if there is any doubt about the usefulness of the meat broth, you can do without it.

Soups for children under one year or slightly older are a lifeline for many mothers, and this is due to the fact that not all babies have a smooth transition from puree to food, and the already mentioned first can be considered an intermediate stage. And many of them generally refuse the second, and the only way to give such a child meat is soup.

To prepare the first dish, the baby on the meat broth is advisable:

  • Use lean beef, turkey fillet or chicken;
  • Cut the meat immediately into small pieces;
  • Meat a few minutes to boil in water, then drain it, then fill the pan with clean water and only after that boil the soup.

The change of water is due to the fact that harmful substances that are contained in meat (carcinogens, synthetic additives, hormones) are released into the liquid when it boils and during the first minutes of cooking, so the broth so cooked will be much "cleaner". So this recommendation will not be superfluous for adults.

Soups for young children are cooked without the use of garlic, pepper, bay leaves and seasonings with a pungent odor. Vegetables do not undergo passivation before they are added to the broth. If the baby does not eat the pieces, the cooked soup can be ground in a blender. In soups for children from the year the aforementioned spices can be added.

Cooking recipes

Two simple ways of making soups are described below, slightly modifying which, it is possible to feed both a small child and an older child.

Chicken soup with vermicelli

It is cooked very quickly, and pleasure will be delivered to both children and adults. By the way, chicken broth is very useful for colds, so that soup on its basis is an excellent remedy.

The following ingredients are used for preparation:

  • 1 chicken breast;
  • A pair of medium potatoes;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 1 clove of garlic;
  • Half of the bulb (if desired);
  • Bay leaf, pepper (peas), greens of dill and parsley.
  • Small vermicelli.

Chicken breast rinse, cut into small pieces and boil for five minutes, change the water. Add the vegetables (all except potatoes) and spices to the pan, cook for 10 minutes. After this, add the potatoes, bring to the state of readiness. Vermicelli and herbs add to the pan for 3 minutes. Soup for children is ready. If the dish is intended for a baby for up to a year, the spices can be ruled out, leaving only the greens.

Cream soup of broccoli, carrots and cauliflower

These vegetables can not be called loved by everyone, but the cream soup of them turns out very tasty, and their benefit to the body is very high.

For preparation, the following components are used:

  • A piece of turkey fillet (300-400 grams);
  • Half a head of broccoli and the same amount of cauliflower;
  • 1 carrot;
  • Cream 10% - 500-700 ml;
  • 1 clove of garlic;
  • 150 grams of Parmesan cheese.

Preparation is not at all complicated: the meat needs to be washed and cut into medium pieces, boil for 5 minutes, drain the water. Cream is added to it (you can dilute it a little with water), chopped carrots and garlic. At the same stage, salt and pepper are added.

Broccoli and cauliflower are cooked very quickly, so they are put in a saucepan when the meat and carrots are almost ready, while they must be rinsed and disassembled on the inflorescence. Ready soup is ground in a blender. Before serving, sprinkle with grated Parmesan.

Such cream soups for children can be cooked using any vegetables in various combinations.
