The main active ingredient is activated zinc pyrithione, which is part of the Skin-Cap (cream) product, has an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect, as well as an antifungal action. It is this component that causes the death of fungi and bacteria.

The drug is most active against bacteria belonging to the Pity-rosporum group. They cause inflammation and a high rate of division of epidermal cells in diseases of seborrhea and psoriasis, as well as in other skin diseases.
