History of the variety

Rosa flamencentz was bred in 1955 and immediately gained great popularity among gardeners. They were ready to pay a lot of money for the seedlings and even kidnapped them from other people's plots. This boom lasted about 10 years. Then a hardy plant, which multiplies and grows well, appeared literally in every garden, as a result of which interest in it diminished. But after a while the second peak of the popularity of the Rose flamenco began, which continues to this day.

The Benefits of Rose Flamenco

The reason for the increased demand was a number of advantages that the Rose of the Flamencants possesses. Many gardeners are familiar with the Nordic character of this plant. The rose bush perfectly tolerates the winter without shelter. It is enough just to bend the branches to the ground. This is one of the most winter hardy varieties grown on the territory of our country.

Timely pruning and proper care allow the rose to grow in one place for up to 20 years or more. She is not afraid of diseases inherent in other varieties. This is one of the few flowers that earned the ADR certificate, which is usually given to the most resistant plants grown without chemicals.

Landing

Planting in spring or autumn. First of all, you need to choose the right place. Rose flattens preferring well-illuminated sun and protected from the wind areas. The soil needs to be dug to the depth of the shovel and prepare wells measuring 50x50 cm at a distance of at least one meter from each other. They are carefully poured in water and laid on the bottom of the soil mixture consisting of manure and clay (2.5 and 5 kg, respectively) with the addition of two tablets phosphorobacterin.

At the bush of the climbing rose, purchased for planting, pruned and root system are pruned, leaving no more than 30 cm. For early healing, as well as protection of the plant from infection, slices on the roots must be treated with ashes, and on shoots - with garden vine.

Before planting, the seedlings are recommended to stand in water, which will accelerate their survival. Putting the bush in the hole, it is gently covered with earth and slightly tamped.

Growth conditions

There are no special features when growing such a flower as a rose flocking flamenco - planting and care of the plant is not much different from similar activities for other varieties. The main thing that is required for this species is feeding, watering and loosening of the soil. Fertilizer in the form of humus or compost is enough to make once a year from the calculation of a bucket on the bush. Necessarily at least once a season requires feeding by a mullein - fresh manure is bred with water and insisted for two weeks (for 2 buckets of manure - 200 liters of water). Pour a bucket on each bush. Such fertilizing significantly increases the intensity of flowering roses.

Loosening the soil in the trunks of the plant is carried out every time a solid airtight crust is formed. More effective mulching - it allows you to keep moisture and attracts worms and other beneficial microorganisms. Watering is recommended once a week.

Every year, a rose flocking flaxseed needs pruning. This contributes to the formation of a more compact and dense bush. In addition, the removal of old, broken or frozen lashes leads to the rejuvenation of the plant.

Preparing for winter

After pruning weak shoots, held in September, the whip of roses begin to crouch down to the ground and gradually get used to this position. After two weeks they are treated with copper sulfate and bound in bundles of 3-4 pieces. When the first frosts come, the whips are laid horizontally on a layer of dry foliage, it is also sprinkled from above and covered with a film or roofing paper.

With such care, the rose is a stingy flamencan, whose photo can be seen in this article, will decorate the garden with its lush color for many years.
