To begin with, the hypoglycemic index is the ability of a particular food product to raise the sugar level in a person's blood. Initially, the index of products began to be calculated to combat diabetes. It has long been noted that foods with a low glycemic index are gradually absorbed into the blood, literally hamper all subsequent eaten food. This is encouraging, because you will not have to sit on a rigid diet, constantly suffering from malnutrition.

For example, you can eat mushroom soup, and after 10 minutes snack it with your favorite bread (but better from wholemeal flour)! The main thing, wait these few minutes. I'll tell you a secret - this diet is called the Montignac diet and it consists of at least two important stages.

  1. The first stage - all meals are strictly excluded, in which the glycemic index of products is very high. So, these are: dates, honey, potatoes, dried apricots, rice, popcorn, wafers and muesli. They also provoke obesity. But there are some restrictions: - nursing mothers and pregnant women should not abuse this diet, so as not to deprive many of the useful nutrients themselves and the child; - Some people such a diet may not be suitable because of the peculiarities of metabolism. If you become feeling worse without the usual products, be sure to contact a nutritionist, along with him you will compile your individual list of products; - athletes do not recommend such a diet, because they need exactly "fast" glucose, almost instantly entering the blood.

Authorized products with a low glycemic index:

Leaf lettuce, onion, absolutely all green vegetables, cabbage, mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic, grapefruit, peanuts, lentils, legumes, bell peppers, eggplant, prunes, milk, carrots, marmalade (how nice that some sweets also have Low index!), Pears, oranges, figs, sausages, kefir.

  1. The second stage of the diet allows you to eat foods that have an average index of 36-56. This: mango, cookies, papaya, spaghetti, vermicelli, buckwheat, apple juice, grapes, sorbet, bitter chocolate, peaches.

To lose weight and always be in great shape, eat foods with a low glycemic index in the afternoon and evening. Products with an average index are allowed to eat from morning till lunch. To the maximum exclude from your diet baking and products of dough, give up white bread - and you will find the perfect form. After all, the products from the dough contain a huge amount of carbohydrates, and the smart restriction of their consumption leads to an average weight loss of 5 kg in three months! Even lowering the intake of fat in your diet, you will not achieve such an excellent result, as in the case of carbohydrates.
