How many calories in a sausage, and whether it is possible to use it at a diet

When the German butcher Johann Laner for many centuries invented the glorified dish, he hardly thought about how many calories in the sausage. Then very few people thought about this, because the products were always natural, and the way of life was all mobile. But in our hectic period, when a person is under stress, and we sit for eight hours a day sitting in the office, it's difficult to remain calm about the question of what we eat. And we eat more and more conservatives, soy, stabilizers, starch, palm oil and flavor additives, "close to natural".

Alas, the domestic food industry especially zealously took up sausages. In any store there are a dozen of them, from different manufacturers. The labels proudly indicate the type of meat from which the product is made - chicken, turkey, pork or beef, but the percentage composition of this component is modestly hushed up. But even if it is indicated, what is meant by a word, for example, "pork"? You think that what is meant is a piece of tenderloin slipped through the meat grinder, and you are already starting to count how many calories in the sausage, based on the energy value of this product ... Do not rush: under the name "pork" the producer means animal skin, lungs, tendons, trimmed interior fat And other little appetizing things.

Yes, it's true that sausages are extremely easy to prepare. They can be slightly boiled and eaten with mustard, fried with scrambled eggs or omelets, baked on the grill ... In general, if itch, you can use it in a raw form - the meat components after all there are already boiled. But is it worth it for those who consider calories in food, and especially those who are on a medical diet? There are certainly no useful substances in the product. The only positive thing is the speed in preparing and satiating them. But half an hour after breakfast, sausages start to grumble with hunger in the stomach. Why? Soy protein and starch create a false sense of satiety, but the spell quickly dissipates ...

So how many calories are in the sausage? Everything depends on what it is made of and, not least, on the good faith of the manufacturer. If he uses meat to produce his own products with a small addition of milk - as they do in the homeland of sausages, in Germany - then the energy value of such a sausage is 260-270 kcal per 100 g. It is difficult to call it a dietary dish leading to weight loss. But if we take our popular brands - "Elisevskie", "Baby", "Dairy", "School", "Russian" - then the figures will be almost two times lower, about 130-150 kcal.

So how to count how many calories in a sausage, let's think better: and what benefit does our body have from it? Probably not very big. It's good, if the product includes just "meat components" and milk. The nutritional value of such milk sausages (pink on the cut they are exclusively due to food colors) is small, and they could be included in the category of low-calorie products. However, the "Ramensky" caloric content is 212, and the chicken - 260 units. Of course, you can not discount how you prepare sausages for use. For example, how many calories are in the sausage in the dough? And if you still put a piece of hard cheese into the cut? And if you still fry a dish in lean oil? Naturally, it increases to 350-400 kcal.
