The drug "Regividon" refers to the group of oral hormonal contraceptives . One tablet contains estragen (ethinyl estradiol) and gestagen (levonorgrel).

The action of the "Regividon" medication is characterized as an inhibitory ovulation. Thus, an unwanted pregnancy is prevented.

Due to the small amount of active ingredients contained in the preparation "Regividon" side effects are extremely rare. The use of medication does not affect the subsequent reproductive function of women.

The drug is prescribed as an oral contraceptive. The medication is also indicated for the treatment of uterine bleeding of a functional nature, dysmenorrhea, pain syndrome that occurs in the middle of the cycle of menstruation.

As a contraceptive used on a pill a day from the fifth day of menstruation. Duration of admission is twenty-one days.

Regvidon recommends the use of the instructions in the evenings.

After a three-week appointment, a seven-day break should be taken. During this interval, as a rule, bleeding occurs (menstrual-like). Regardless of whether bleeding has occurred or not, and from its duration, on the eighth day, if necessary, continue the prevention, that is, the reception of the drug is resumed.

The use of the drug "Regividon" instruction allows as much time as necessary.

In the event that before taking the drug the woman used another oral hormonal type contraceptive with higher doses of active substances, it is necessary to take a break in a month.

With regular use of Regvidon, the contraceptive effect persists even during a seven-day break between courses.

If the next dose of the medication was missed for any reason, you should immediately take the pill. The contraceptive effect is not considered reliable for a break of more than 36 hours between two doses during one course.

At first, with the reception of Regividone, there may be gastrointestinal disorders, coarsening of the mammary glands, nausea. As a rule, these reactions disappear with further use of the drug.

Side effects can manifest as a decrease or increase in body weight, mood swings, skin rashes, increased fatigue, changes in libido, seizures in the calf muscles, changes in glucose tolerance.

The appearance of bloody unglued secretions of irregular nature from the vagina does not require the withdrawal of the drug. With more intensive bleeding, the medication is stopped. It is recommended to have an examination of the gynecologist.

Indications for discontinuing the use of Regividon are:

- Pregnancy,

- development of thromboembolism, thrombophlebitis or thrombosis,

- myocardial infarction,

- cerebrovascular disorders,

- retinal thrombosis,

- repeated persistent headaches,

- the development of diplopia, exophthalmos,

- reduced visual acuity,

- development of any chronic pathology in severe form.

Contraindicated drug with recently transferred hepatitis, impaired renal function, jaundice, cholelithiasis. The drug is not prescribed for pregnancy, severe heart diseases of an organic nature, diabetes mellitus and hypertension in severe forms, other diseases. Contraindications are malignant tumors, primarily of the genital organs and breast. No medication is prescribed for lactation and hypersensitivity to components.
