During the construction or repair, many different materials are used. One of the most unusual of them can be called a construction cartridge, which in some sources is called installation, industrial or construction.
General information about industrial cartridges
The construction cartridge is single. It is used in a number of mounting piston pistols for plugging into dense (metal, concrete, brick) surfaces of dowels. The construction cartridge is often used in repair work on industrial equipment of various industries. It is a sleeve of certain dimensions with a rolled-over tip. The construction cartridge has a primer-igniter and is equipped with a small amount of smokeless powder, which does not contain heavy metals (mercury, antimony, lead). On sale, most often we offer sleeves with a flange containing a capsule compound. They act on the principle of annular ignition after the impact of the striker occurs along the flange edge. Impact composition of the sleeve is held by a wad made of porous pressed powder. After the impact of the striker, the entire contents of the cartridge are suddenly ignited, giving off energy, with which the plugs are clogged. Some industrial cartridges act on the principle of a central battle like "Boxer" or "Berdan".
Marking of mounting cartridges
All construction and assembly pistols of the PC-84 type are equipped with 2 types of loose mounting cartridges. One of them has a caliber of 6.8 mm and is marked with the cipher "D" (long, 6.8x18 mm). The other is indicated by the letter "K" (short, 6.8x11 mm). Earlier on sale it was possible to find other cartridges with the letter "D" - 22 mm long, and with the sign "K" - 15 mm.
All industrial cartridges with code "D" and "K" are divided by numbers depending on the amount of powder charge in them. Due to the amount of their content, they have different energy. The cartridge of each number and cipher has its own distinctive coloring, which is applied to its rolled up tip. So, in accordance with the current technical requirements, the following categories are divided:
• Index - K1 (white); The mass of the charge is 0.2 g; Power output - 548 J.
• K2 (yellow); 0.22 g; 603 J.S.
• K3 (blue); 0.25 g; 683 J.C.
• K4 (red); 0.29 g; 795 J.C.
• D1 (white); 0.31 g; 874 J..
• D2 (yellow); 0.34 g; 928 J.W.
• D3 (blue); 0.38 g; 1037 J. J.
• D4 (red); 0.43 g; 1174 J.C.
LAP Construction Cartridge
In addition to the above ammunition, there are cartridges of the MPU family (central battle), created on the basis of a cartridge case, compressed into an asterisk. They are much more powerful and used in industrial equipment (stamping presses), manufactured in Tula. Supplied in packages of 1 thousand units. The caliber of the construction cartridge MPU - 5,45 mm. They come in 3 colors:
• Index MPU-1 (white); Charge weight - 0.6 g; Power output - 1644 J.
• MPU-2 (green); 0.8 g; 2192 J..
• MPU-3 (yellow); 1.0 g; 2720 J..
Other ammunitions are used abroad. Construction cartridges of 5x16 mm caliber are rolled and re-clamped sleeves. They can be used in the RPM mounting gun. When working with such materials it must be remembered that they are all traumatic and inflammable. They can not be subjected to shock, heat and friction.
