Patriotic education of schoolchildren

Currently in educational institutions an important place is given to how patriotic education of schoolchildren is conducted. This activity is a purposeful system of methods of influence on the person with the purpose of formation of an active vital position of the citizen-patriot of the Native land. Such work should be carried out on the basis of a qualitatively new concept of upbringing, which takes into account domestic traditions, national-regional characteristics and available pedagogical experience.

Schools and other educational institutions are introducing programs for electives, circles, whose main goal is the atriotic education of children. Here the work of the teacher will be aimed at developing students' civil and social responsibility. In addition, students based on materials on local history (the lives of famous fellow countrymen, history and traditions) are brought up patriotism.

To cultivate a citizen of a new generation, who is anxious about his Motherland, it is worthwhile to exert maximum efforts practically to all teachers of the school. This should be the work of not only the class teacher or the teacher who leads the elective course in this area, but also other employees involved in the teaching and upbringing process. Thus, it is periodically recommended to carry out activities that bear the ideas of civicism and patriotism. For example, it can be a cool hour "Ruler of Memory" or similar activities. Currently, schools should conduct not only training, but also the education of schoolchildren.

The works of young authors of patriotic themes can be published in the school newspaper. It is recommended that children set certain research goals for studying the history of the Motherland, including the region in which they live. In carrying out this work, students not only learn to collect information, but also become aware of its value, get acquainted with many facts that help to be proud of their country, as well as the locality where they live.

Some educational institutions open on their base clubs for students, whose goal is the patriotic education of schoolchildren. Here, children can be engaged in after-hours in such areas as the organization of mass events, preservation and replenishment of the museum's exhibits with the museum, and the organization of excursions in it. Such work can be conducted both by class teachers and by teachers specializing in supplementary education, according to a separately compiled program. In this case, a close relationship is necessary with such organizations (the city museum, the council of veterans, etc.).

Patriotic education of schoolchildren should be systematic, conducted regularly. For this, also forms are used such as exhibitions of children's works on a certain topic related to the Motherland, drawings of schoolchildren, meetings of children's assets, round tables and others.

An integrated approach to this activity is another important detail. In the process of education of schoolchildren, all those who are involved in the educational process should participate. This is not only teachers, but also librarians, employees of the school museum, the head teacher on educational work, the counselor, the social pedagogue, etc. Each of them has its own methods of influencing children, as well as their forms of work. For example, school librarians can arrange an exhibition of books for students, in which they will be selected publications on a given topic.

It should be noted that the patriotic education of schoolchildren is an important work in the establishment of education. After all, the future of the country depends to a large extent on how much the younger generation is attached to their homeland, how much it will appreciate and love it.
