Mushroom chanterelle: where grows, what species are there?

Chanterelles ordinary - a fungus, which belongs to the family of the same name and is the purest of the lamellar family. The name comes from an optimistic bright yellow-red color and a graceful shape that resembles the color of the coat and the posture of a graceful fox. An amateur collecting these gifts of nature should know how the chanterelles look to collect mushrooms suitable for consumption.

Edible chanterelles. Appearance

Mushrooms are a hat, merged with a foot into a single unit without borders and tapering down. They can have shades from light yellow to orange-yellow. The diameter of the elastic cap can reach from 2 to 12 cm. Its surface has no regular shape. In the center of the mushroom cap there is a depression, from which uneven areas run, and its edges are bent inwards. The chanterelle differs in that, when pressed, the dense flesh slightly turns red. The leg can be the same color as the hat, or lighter than it. Its thickness is 1-3 cm, and its height is 4-7 cm.

These "fiery" fruits are found in mixed and coniferous forests. They can be found singly or by families. Experienced mushroom pickers advise when finding at least one chanterelle to inspect the terrain in a radius of 5-6 meters, because another mushroom can meet. Considered gifts of the forest like warm weather and diffuse lighting. Within five days they grow to 4 cm in height, and full growth is achieved after 10 days.

The exact opposite of the red chanterelles is gray. Their hat is very long. This gloomy fruit is called the "trumpet of the dead", which came from Germany. He is not well known to us, therefore mushroom pickers treat him with care because of his appearance and unpleasant smell.

Gray chanterelles grow in large groups and are found in deciduous and mixed forests on the expanses of Ukraine, Western Europe, America and in those places of Russia that are close to Europe.

Useful properties of edible chanterelles

Yellow chanterelles contain a lot of vitamins (A, B1, C, PP) and noble elements. In foreign media, it is said that they extract substances from which radionuclide drugs are created. They also say that this type of fruit is not exposed to radiation at all.
