The Nara River. The tributaries of the Nara River. Rainbow waterfall on the Nara River

The Moscow region abounds in places with picturesque landscapes. There are many hidden corners with virgin nature. One of these amazingly beautiful places is the Nara River with its stunning waterfall, vast valleys, tributaries and ponds. The river was chosen by fishermen, extreme people and those who like walks and picnics in the bosom of wildlife.

Geographical position

Rivers, streams and streams are rugged in Russia. The Nara River is the left-bank sleeve of the Oka River, which flows regularly across the lands of the Moscow and Kaluga regions. In the Oka Nara flows into the southern part of the Moscow region, next to Serpukhov. It takes its beginning in the Poletsky lake, spread out over the Kubinka area in the West of the Moscow region. Its waters flow through the Nara ponds, loop through the forests and meadows.

Above the banks rise two cities - Serpukhov and Naro-Fominsk. In the north-eastern part of the Kaluga region the legendary village of Tarutino was founded. In the Patriotic War of 1812 on the territory of the village for Field Marshal M.I. Kutuzov organized a headquarters, and in the vicinity of the village the Russian army camped.

Description

The length of Nara is 158 kilometers. The basin of the river covers an area of 2,030 km 2 . The width varies between 2-30 meters. The depth does not exceed 1.5 meters. On the river belt are disintegrated and operating dams. In December, the river waters trap the ice, which are opened in April. In the upper reaches of the river are the famous Narva ponds. They feed the pond that connects them with the Oka.

The picturesque river Nara is shallow. However, there is a shipping site with a length of two kilometers. Ships ply in the place where Nara connects with Oka. There is also a port "Serpukhov". From here tourists go on one-day cruises in two directions. Ships go to the Tula region, to Polenovo. In addition, they cruise along the coasts of the Kaluga region to Tarusa.

In spring, not too wide and shallow, Nara turns into a rickety river. Her water is boiling and sweeping with great speed. During this period tourists are rafting along it on kayaks. In the lower reaches and middle reaches of the coast are high and hilly. Most of them are covered with forests. In some places, the river flows through shady alleys formed by the crowns of mighty trees. In the area of the village of Chichkovo, among the water surface, reaching a width of 30 meters, small islets rise.

Sleeves

The tributaries of the Nara River are divided into two categories: large and small. It flows into 10 large and 7 small sleeves. On the right bank it merges with Suhmenka, Nail, Plesenka, Tarusa and Chavroi. On the left bank of its pool replenish the waters of Chernichki, Kamenka, Berezovki, Inevki, Trasny, Serpeki and Temenki.

Flora

Forests along the coasts are interspersed with floodplains. Water plants in summer are like flowering meadows. Near the village of Gorchukhino on the flood plain there are farmland. The upper part is covered with separate groups of trees and shrubs. They include a hollow willow, gray alder, birch birch and aspen.

Up to the estuary of Isti, along the right bank, pine, spruce and broadleaf forests grow, as well as spruce forests. Morenic plains on the left bank cover mixed broad-leaved and small-leaved forest tracts.

The shallow river Nara is covered with aquatic plants. In the coastal zones, it was overgrown with algae, flowering plants, hydrophytes. Along the coast there are thickets of cattail, cane, duckweed, sedge. The shallow shallows are covered with a derbennik with a yellowish egg-capsule.

Fauna

The river fauna is formed by fish, birds and amphibians. In the Nara ponds, carp is a cultivated variety of carp. In the upper reaches, the Nara River is inhabited by pike, roach, rudd, perch, gudgeon, ruff and crucian carp.

Amphibians are represented by a population of lake frogs, dwelling in dense thickets of reeds and high water herbs. They feed on snails, spiders and other insects. Gray herons, river ducks, teals, woodcocks and gull gulls were founded here.

Rainbow waterfall

On Nara the waterfall with the romantic name "Rainbow" rumbles loudly. It is located 45 kilometers from Moscow, in the vicinity of the village of Papino. In clear weather, the rays of the sun, refracted in droplets, create a spectacular sight: a bright rainbow over overthrown water jets. The lands between Podolsky and Zhukovsky regions abound with keys and springs, merging into a mighty creek, flowing from a high peak.

At the bend of Nara, which is next to the Oka, you can admire the cascading springs and the waterfall. With the beginning of spring, when streams and rivers fill the meltwater, the waterfall on the Nara River turns into a fabulous natural object. To get at this time to "Rainbow" is extremely difficult.

For him there are no beaten paths. The canvas of the winding dirt road is strongly deformed from the spring waters, becoming a continuous mash, insurmountable for vehicles. Summer and autumn rains blur the country road to such an extent that it becomes a real test for cars.

The best time to visit the waterfall is dry summer days. Although the waterfall becomes shallow during this period and loses some strength, the impression leaves an indelible impression. The jets, tearing off from the five-meter height, ring loudly and sparkle with a multicolored rainbow, fascinating the gaze and soul. At a waterfall it turns out to make tremendous photos.
