Migraine tablets

Perhaps one of the most common diseases on the planet is a migraine, which is characterized by a severe headache. US researchers estimated that monthly migraine attacks bother about 5,000,000 people. More susceptible to headaches are women between the ages of twenty-five to thirty-five.

Although this disease has been known for quite some time, but even now, the etiology of migraine development is not yet fully established. To be precise, there are a lot of causes of the disease, but they are uncharacteristic. There are many factors that trigger the development of migraine. These include the environment (ecology, the effects of bright sunlight, temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind, strong flavors, sounds, etc.), as well as food products of plant and animal origin (bacon, chicken liver, salami, cheese, Fruit, pickled vegetables, beans, nuts, herring, potato chips, coffee, chocolate, red wine, champagne), depression, stressful situations. It is proved that migraine can be inherited, while the maternal line is dominant.

Most often headaches of migraine nature are localized in the fronto-temporal-eye area. Often, attacks of the disease are of a periodic nature. Attacks of migraine can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, fatigue, lethargy, drowsiness, hypersensitivity to bright light and loud sound.

Many people face the problem of how to cure a migraine. It is not completely possible to get rid of this disease. However, taking some pharmaceutical remedies, you can get rid of bouts of severe headache. Treatment of migraine is carried out using two types of medicines. Some of them are used during severe attacks of headache, others are used to prevent migraines. At the initial stages of the development of the disease, migraine tablets are used - painkillers ("Acetamifene") and anti-inflammatory drugs ("Acetylsalicylic acid", "Ibuprofen sodium", "Naproxen sodium") drugs.

The modern direction in the treatment of migraine is the use of antagonists of serotonin. Such migraine tablets block the brain receptors of the same name, as well as the blood vessels that play a crucial role in the onset of migraine. A significant drawback of the use of such drugs is the occurrence of side effects that manifest themselves in the form of vomiting, nausea, dizziness. These pills for migraine are contraindicated in patients with hypertension and ischemia of the heart. With a detailed examination of the patient, the doctor recommends the use of painkillers and prophylactic medications, such as "Tripnan", "Kafergot", "Midrin", "Amitriptyline", "Topiramate".

Very often, migraine tablets (medications) are used in conjunction with physio- and reflexology. To date, other means of migraine are also quite popular: acupuncture (acupuncture), reflexotherapy, the therapeutic effect of which is obtained through biologically active points (BAT) and reflexogenic zones. The reaction of the body to BAT stimuli is multilevel and multichannel. The use of acupuncture shows good results in the treatment of migraine. The methods of Tibetan medicine are aimed at eliminating the main cause of the headache. Such causes may be diseases of the vascular system, as well as the spine.

Preventive maintenance of migraine is carried out with the help of pharmacological preparations of different groups: antideprisants, beta-blockers of calcium channels, coenzyme Q, riboflavin, disport. These drugs are taken daily for a long period of six to twelve months.
