Michurinsky Drama Theater: repertoire, photos and reviews

Michurinsky Drama Theater, whose history of existence began in the XIX century, today continues the glorious traditions of the past. In his repertoire, not only performances for the adult audience, but also performances for children.

About the theater

Michurinsky Drama Theater, whose photo is presented in this paragraph of the article, was opened in 1897. For him, the building of the former tobacco factory was withdrawn and rebuilt. The auditorium was designed for 600 seats.

The first performance of the theater is "We must get divorced" after the play of the French playwright V. Sardou. The repertoire of that period included not only dramatic productions, but also operas and operettas.

In 1909, the building in which the performances were staged burned down, and in 4 years a new building was built in which the Michurinsky Drama Theater lives to this day.

At the beginning of the 20th century, many eminent figures came here from Moscow.

In 1918 the Michurin drama was called the Bolshoi Soviet Theater.

During the war the troupe traveled on fronts and hospitals. Many actors have gone to defend the Motherland from enemies, unfortunately, not all have returned alive. The building of the theater was used as a hospital.

In the 50s the troupe replenished with a large number of creative, talented young people.

In the 60-ies. Thanks to the artistic director G. Abdulov (the father of the famous actor Alexander Abdulov) the theater blossomed. Gabriel Danilovich was both a director, an actor, and a playwright.

In the 80 years of the XX century the theater received the State Prize of the RSFSR for its productions.

In the 90-ies. Michurinskaya drama was in a deplorable state, the building needed a large-scale reconstruction. But there was no money for it.

Restoration was recently completed and lasted for 8 years. At this time the artists had to work on different sites of the city.

Today, the theater is headed by G.N. Popova - Honored Worker of Culture of Russia.

Reviews

About its productions Michurinsky Theater receives various reviews, mostly positive, although there are negative ones among them.

Spectators praise the actors for their brilliant game, for the fact that they are able to convey a huge number of feelings and their shades.

The theater performances are mostly interesting, the repertoire is well chosen, the directors find wonderful stage solutions.

To the public's favorite performances is "Doomed to love." Here the music is very well chosen, very interesting choreography. The scenery is very unusual. Actors who play the role of the main characters are always persuasive, genuinely live the lives of their heroes, play at the break, they expose the souls. This production amazes even those who are not theater-goers and do not often attend performances. The audience writes that it is not possible to name the plot of this play as special, but the actors play in such a way that even those who have seen life, not very young and cynical men, make not only tears and feelings, but also think how disgustingly sometimes the representatives of the stronger sex behave with weak And women who love them. The play makes you think and the audience leaves him, getting a little better than they were before they saw him.

Another favorite of the audience performance - "Perfect Murder". It's a funny comedy that allows you to laugh and cheer up.

Among the productions created for young spectators, the fairy tale "Moroz Ivanovich", "Forget-me-not", "Bremen musicians" are especially noted. They, in the opinion of the parents, who bring their kids to the theater, instructive, kind, moral.

Negative feedback can be found about the play for children - "Minions attack." The audience believes that he was put exclusively for the sake of pursuing the novelty. There is no morality and the plot is empty. For many children this performance is simply incomprehensible. Yes, and I want to see in the theater kind fairy tales, naive and bright, which they bring up.

Recently, the tour of the Michurinsky Drama Theater in Saransk was held. The troupe presented the following performances to the audience: "Mad Day, or The Marriage of Figaro", "Edith Piaf", "Tales of Uncle Remus", "Clinical Case", "Forget-me-nots" and "Under the Roofs of Paris". Residents of Saransk very warmly accepted the troupe and expressed their enthusiasm about the performances of the guests from Michurinsk. Particularly touched by the soul of the audience called the production of "Edith Piaf." The actress, who played the main role, beautifully revealed the image of the great singer.
