Medication "Ambroghexal" (instruction)

The drug "Ambroghexal", the instruction to which says that this drug is a mucolytic and expectorant, is an effective drug for the treatment of respiratory diseases. The product is produced in several dosage forms:

- tablets containing 30 mg of ambroxol. Auxiliary substances in them are: lactose monohydrate, calcium hydrophosphate dihydrate, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch;

- Gelatin capsules containing 75 mg of ambroxol. Auxiliary substances in them are: microcrystalline cellulose, triethyl citrate, eudragit RL30D, titanium dioxide, red oxide, magnesium stearate. The shell consists of titanium dioxide and gelatin;

- a solution (colorless, transparent) containing 1 ml of 7.5 ml of ambroxol hydrochloride. Excipients are: methylparahydroxybenzoate, sodium disulfite, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, citric acid, sodium hydroxide, water. Release the solution in bottles-droppers of 50 and 100 ml in a set with a glass;

- syrup (slightly yellowish, almost transparent) containing 5 ml of ambroxol hydrochloride in 5 ml. Auxiliary substances are: benzoic acid, sodium hydroxide, citric acid monohydrate, povidone, glycerol (85%), sodium disulphite, sorbitol (70%), sodium cyclamate, purified water, raspberry flavor. Release the solution in vials of 100 and 250 ml with a measuring spoon.

The medicine "Ambroghexal", the instruction to which indicates its belonging to mucolytic agents, has an expectorant, secretolitic, secretory-motor action. As a result of the depolymerization of mucopolysaccharides, a sharp decrease in the viscosity of sputum occurs. The drug "Ambrohexal", the instruction to which guarantees an increase in the motor activity of the cilia lining the surface of the ciliated epithelium, increases the speed of sputum excretion, normalizes the ratio of its mucous and serous components.

Indications for use:

- bronchitis;

- bronchial asthma, complicated by difficulty in sputum discharge;

- pneumonia;

- bronchoectatic disease ;

- prevention and treatment of respiratory syndrome (used as a solution and syrup).

The drug "Ambrohexal", the instruction of which indicates the achievement of the effect after 0.5 hours after taking it, stores it for 6-12 hours. The maximum therapeutic effect is reached on day 3

This medicine is consumed after a meal. Each of its dosage forms has its own dosage regimen:

Patients with 12 years of age: 2 spoons (30 mg) 2-3 r. 3 days; In the following days 2 measuring spoons of 2 r. In very severe cases, the dose is not decreased throughout the course of treatment.

To children in day appoint such doses:

- 5-12 liters: 1 spoon (15 mg) 2-3 r;

- 2-5 liters: 0.5 spoonfuls (7.5mg) 3 r;

- up to 2 liters: 0,5 spoons 2 r.

In childhood, taking the medicine is done only under the supervision of a doctor.

2. The drug "Ambroghexal solution" is prescribed in such dosages.

Patients from 12 years: 3 days for 4ml (30 mg) for 3 rubles, in subsequent days, the dose is reduced to 2 rubles. For 4ml.

To children in day appoint such doses:

- 5-12 liters: 2ml (15mg) 2-3 rubles;

- 2-5 liters: 1ml (7.5mg) 3 r;

Inside the solution is taken, diluting it with water, tea, juices, milk. In the form of inhalation solution is used in such dosages:

- children from 5 years old, adults: 1-2 r. For 40-60 cap. (2-3ml);

3. Tablets are taken in such doses:

- to patients from 12 years: 3 days on a tablet (30 mg) 3 r., In the next days on a tablet of 2 r .;

- children 6-12 years: 0.5 tablets (15 mg) 2-3 r. in a day.

4. Capsules:

- patients with 12 years: 1 cap. (75 mg) 1 p. The day in the evening or in the morning.

Patients with violations of the liver and kidneys, the dose is reduced. Duration of treatment is assigned individually, because it depends on the patient's condition.

Side effects: nausea, dryness in the mouth or the respiratory tract, skin allergies, angioedema, fever, bronchospasm, headache, weakness, difficulty urinating.

This drug is contraindicated in such cases:

- 1 trimester of pregnancy;

Hypersensitivity;

- age for taking tablets - up to 6 years;

- age for taking capsules - up to 12 years.

Carefully prescribe the drug for peptic ulcer, during lactation, in the 2nd and 3rd trimester of pregnancy.
