It was he who told him about the plague and put it before the choice: to destroy all the inhabitants with his own hands or to watch his people slowly die, replenishing the troops of the king of the dead. Arthas made the hard decision: to kill his subjects, to destroy and burn the whole city, so that no man became a slave to the Scourge.
