Master class, how to make lotus origami

The art of origami is multifaceted and allows you to make a lot of interesting things. We suggest that you learn how to collect the lotus origami in three ways.

Flower from one leaf

Master class, how to make in the technique of origami from paper lotus:

  1. Fold a square sheet of paper twice in half (Figure 1).
  2. Spread the sheet and wrap the four vertices to the center (illustration 2).
  3. Wrap the tops again to the center (illustration 3).
  4. Turn over the detail to the other side (Figure 4).
  5. Wrap the four peaks in the middle (Figure 5).
  6. Fold a little tips (Figure 6).
  7. Turn the figure over to the other side again (figure 7).
  8. Unscrew the petals and unscrew them (illustration 8).
  9. Once again unscrew the petals and straighten the figure (Figure 9).

Flower with foliage from several details

To make here such a lotus-origami, as in the picture below, you need to take a few green and pink sheets of paper.

Operating procedure:

  1. Fold one green sheet of paper in half in length (picture 1).
  2. Spread the sheet.
  3. Wrap the edges to the middle to form triangles on both sides (picture 2).
  4. Fold the top and bottom sides to the fold line (Figure 3).
  5. Fold the part in half (picture 4).
  6. Similarly, fold two pieces of pink sheets (Figure 5).
  7. Fold the white parts in half in the opposite direction (picture 6).
  8. You got one green detail and two white ones (picture 7).
  9. Fold the details together. The green should be from the bottom (picture 8).
  10. Make eight such blanks and stack them all together (picture 9).
  11. Tie the details in the middle with a thread.
  12. Spread the details in different directions and carefully unfold the petals (pictures 10, 11 and 12).

Lotus with leaves in the origami technique is ready!

Modular origami "Lotus"

First, you need to build the modules:

  1. Cut the same rectangles.
  2. Fold the rectangle in half in half (Figure 1).
  3. Bend it again in half (illustration 2).
  4. Right and left sides wrap to a convex crease line (Figure 3).
  5. Wrap on the opposite side of the edge of the "wings" (Figure 4).
  6. Turn the part to the other side and bend it on the left and right side of the corners (Figure 5).
  7. Fold the part in half (Figure 6).
  8. You got the first module (Figures 7 and 8).

To create a lotus, you need 318 green modules, 240 light pink, 126 dark pink and 50 yellow.

The process of assembling a flower

  1. Put one green module and put two on top of it.
  2. Continue to fold the rows in this way until you have seven green modules in one (picture 1).
  3. Now you need to add green modules to descend, that is, in each successive series there will be one less detail (picture 2).
  4. Make only six such sheets and fasten them together with additional modules (Figure 3).
  5. Now we collect the flower itself.
  6. Take the light pink modules and fold them in the same way as the green leaf. Only the maximum number of parts in a row should be not seven but five.
  7. Add five more such light pink petals (Figure 4).
  8. We begin to connect the petals with each other. To do this, put the two parts side by side and fill the space with the modules of dark pink color (picture 5).
  9. Fold all the petals in this way so that they form one row (picture 6).
  10. Then fold the row, connect its ends and put on the pillow of the leaves (picture 7).
  11. Make the core of the lotus. To do this, fold the ring of yellow modules into three rows (picture 8).
  12. Squeeze the last row into the fist and add two more (Figure 9).
  13. Insert the yellow part inside the petals.

Magnificent lotus-origami is ready!

You can use paper of absolutely different colors and textures.

The idea: if you do not put the core inside, then the craft can be used as a casket or an original vase.
