Market of Services in Russia

In a market economy, services are the same commodity as the values created in production and in the sphere of material values. The market of services in Russia (tangible and intangible) today provides half of GDP, if we compare this indicator with other developed countries, it turns out that Russia has not yet reached a sufficiently high level. As with consumer goods, demand depends entirely on material well-being, on the growth of monetary incomes, and on the level of culture of the country's population.

The service market in Russia is now at the stage of formation. The structure of paid services to the population is still characterized by the predominance of three types - housing and communal services, domestic and transport-passenger. Their share is 3/5 of the total. If to compare with Japan, then 4/5 of all services are allocated to health care, education and leisure of the population.

The market of tourist services in our country has not yet received the proper level of development, in addition, for the time being such spheres as sports and culture, public catering, insurance, legal and other institutions are lagging behind. By regions of the country you can notice a significant difference in the level of development of this area. In such cities as Moscow and St. Petersburg, the most consumer goods and goods per person are sold. And according to their diversity and quantity, both these regions are significantly distinguished from the rest. Currently, Moscow is the leader in providing banking services. Of course, it is important to understand that the geographical organization of such a market is significantly influenced by the geographical location, the provision of infrastructure facilities, the characteristics of urban development, the cost of land plots, the availability of a non-residential premises fund, and a number of other factors. It is also important to take into account their targeting and different character.

It is customary to distinguish between services of daily demand, that is, to which the population living in the given territory applies daily. There are periodic demand services: banking, tailoring and repair of shoes and clothing, paid service from doctors, travel company services, sports facilities and others. Separately, a group of those rarely consumed is singled out, which are aimed at a limited part of the population, for example, construction and repair of housing, insurance services, legal services, hotel services and others. Their geographically network is more sparse.

The service market in Russia so far lags behind in its diversity and level of technical equipment from the West. That is why, as an example, it is necessary to take the world market of services, which will allow to develop more efficiently the necessary industries. New types and forms of service appeared due to the introduction of electronics. Computer technology is successfully used in banking and consulting services, leisure and other types of services for the population.

The service market in Russia provides a special kind of services called recreation - that is, an activity whose purpose is to enhance the health of citizens, to meet their spiritual, cultural and emotional needs. At the same time, thanks to recreation, it is possible to improve, improve cultural-historical and natural landscapes, which allows creating a favorable environment for human habitation. Recreation is quite capable of becoming a highly profitable sphere, bringing considerable sums to the budget of the regions and the whole country. Most recreational facilities are located in the European part of the country, and the regions of Siberia, the North and the Far East are experiencing a severe shortage in institutions of this kind, but this is all fixable.
