Happy self-sufficient person

Contemporaries attributed A. A. Bestuzhev to a small number of lucky people who lived in harmony with themselves and the world. He did his favorite thing (which he succeeded brilliantly), but he did not think of himself as a man who was kissed by the god in the subject. Such was the brilliant, perfectly educated, witty and ironic, desperate optimist Bestuzhev-Marlinsky. "Mariner Nikitin" was a work, first published in the "Library for Reading" in 1834. The audience accepted her enthusiastically, because she eagerly awaited each new work of this author. The novels were not only read to the holes, citations from them were memorized by heart. Nevertheless, the condensed exposition of the story is as follows. A young, remote, ruddy merchant-sailor fell in love with a "little-skinned" beauty neighbor, whose father agreed to a wedding only after another successful walk Saveliy Nikitin to Solovki - a penny to earn. The bridegroom immediately goes on the road, but gets with his comrades in captivity to the British, who perforated the bottom of the barge of Saveliy, taking the goods beforehand, and threw sailors on the deck in the open air. Marlinsky admirably describes the nature of the North. The night sky above the deck with the prisoners is poetically and unrepeatably: opal with hardly visible stars, of course, it will not be able to describe our summary.

"Maritime Nikitin" ends with the fact that four simple Russian peasants captured an English ship with a superior number (12 men with a captain and a boy-boy) of well-trained sailors who were going to capture the Solovetsky fortress. The ship was deployed to its native shores and brought to the port of Arkhangelsk, where they were already greeted with joyful shouts by the whole city. Everything ended in a wedding.

Wealth left out of the box

You can read it briefly, but it's better to read it completely. After all, the short content does not include either the conversational speech of Russian seafarers, interspersed with sayings and sayings, nor a description of the historical events that led to the war between England and Russia as a result of Napoleon's policy (the story describes the events of 1811). On the side there are funny situations on the ship, when the captured Englishmen had bread and corned beef, while the Russians had a barrel of fresh water.

There is much that makes reading a story simply necessary: in addition to joy, it will not bring any other feelings. Moreover, it sounds very modern now. It shows the eternal disdain and underestimation of the "civilized" Europe of the Russian "bearded". A. A. Bestuzhev narrates that our compatriots covered inconceivable sea distances in fragile ships and did not at all boast of their exploits, and in general they were not considered as such. Foreigners, as Marlinsky writes, will sing their every step in poems and poems. This remarkable writer is a real patriot who has not been angry at home, imprisoned and exiled to him, then to the Caucasus, where he died in a skirmish with the mountaineers. Perhaps all of his work does not reach the creative work of Nikolai Gogol, but still he is completely unjustly forgotten.
