Compressed exposition is included in the complex of assignments of the State Final Certification in the 9th grade. And, as a rule, causes great doubts and difficulties for students. Since Russian is a compulsory subject, everyone needs to write a summary.

How to correctly distribute your strength during the reading and catch all the important points? To do this, you need to learn or just remember a few basic rules. Compressed presentation is a special form of work with textual information. Here it is necessary not so much to shorten the text, how many to leave in it the most important. For this it is necessary to be able to hear and choose the basic ideas, smoothly switch from one idea to another, tactfully and effectively find ways to generalize the information obtained. Consequently, a condensed presentation (GIA in Russian: part 1) should be short, but informative.

Very often students admit logical and semantic errors, jump from one paragraph to another. This "leap" is reflected in logic: there are no transitions - the text turns out to be torn and creates the impression of excerpts. To prevent this from happening, you must first make a kind of plan on the draft. On the items to write micro-topics, the number of which will correspond to the number of paragraphs. After that, in each of them, highlight the key words or phrases, and then select synonyms for them. It is best to formulate the main and most important idea of a paragraph with a simple two-part sentence. This is necessary in order not to clutter the structure of the presentation. It is in complex sentences with a huge number of turns that students often admit speech and semantic shortcomings. It should also be noted that it is very important to preserve the type of speech that is used in the main source. For narration, this will be the following sequence: the beginning, the description, the culmination - the most acute moment, the end of the event; For description: the subject of description, its distinctive features; For reasoning: thesis / argument, argumentation, own proof, summary / conclusion.

Compressed presentation will not cause problems if you write it clearly according to the scheme. We immediately need to grasp the idea of the text and, in the course of his hearing, already distribute the micro-topics and select the paragraphs. After drawing up such an original scheme, we need to write a condensed statement on the draft.

This rough work should be checked for spelling, grammatical and semantic errors.

Do not forget that the number of words should not be less than 90. Also, do not spend a lot of time working with this task. After a thorough check, you can safely rewrite your summary in a clean copy. But it is better to run your eyes several times over the rough work.

Students have a problem with identifying the main idea in each paragraph.
