Leather balls as integral sports attributes

The ball is the main attribute, without which it is difficult to imagine most of the modern game sports. At the same time, for various competitions these shells differ in size, material of manufacture, construction and even form. Whatever the case, leather balls are the most widespread now.

Football

The most popular sport on the planet, no doubt, is football. After the rubber chamber was invented, various shells began to be invented for it. As time has shown, the skin has become one of the best materials. A leather soccer ball, or rather its tire, consists of lobed stitches. Depending on the model of the projectile, they can be 18, 24 or 32. Given the fact that they are subjected to very heavy loads during the game, for production, usually used thick, dense skin (sometimes elongated), the thickness of which is about 3.7 mm. Sometimes a rubber lining is glued under the cover to keep it from stretching. Several decades ago, football matches of all levels used leather balls that had a camera with a tube. The lobules in their shells were longitudinal, and on one of them a cut was made, through which the chamber was inserted. The hole was closed by lacing.

Basketball

Leather basketballs against the backdrop of shells that are used for other sports, are the largest size and weight. The diameter of each of them is about 25 centimeters, and the weight is almost 650 grams. All the lobules of such a product are cut out of the black section, which has a well-finished bahtarma. In addition to the skin, tires or PVC can also be used to make tires. In these two cases, an embossed original pattern is usually applied to the surface, which is intended for decoration.

Other sports

For playing volleyball, leather balls are used, having a weight that is half the size compared to soccer balls. In the case of these shells, a thin material is used, in most cases having a light monophonic color. Cameras for them are rubber or nipple.

Balls for a sport such as water polo, as a rule, are sewn similarly to football. Moreover, they have the same dimensions. The only difference is a rubberized tire. Its use is related to the conditions of the game, because the soaking of the skin leads to its weighting.

Handballs, despite their relatively small diameter, differ in weight, which is almost 500 grams, which is more than a football projectile. The lid in this case consists of lobules in the amount of twelve to eighteen. Each of them can have a different kind of cut. Leather balls for rugby differ from all of the above varieties by their unusual oval shape. Their standard length is set at 29 centimeters, and the diameter in the central part is 21 centimeters. The weight of the product is 450 grams. The skin is made of not very thick skin and can consist of eight, six or four lobules.
