Kvass from oats, millet and chestnut horse

Cool drinks in our time are sold a lot. But the recipe of many of them is very doubtful. A lot of food additives of chemical origin clearly do not benefit our health. And here it is necessary to turn to history, to drinks, which our ancestors used for many centuries, to sbites, morsas and kvass. Our ancestors were more enduring than modern people. It was promoted by good ecology, constant physical activity, and also healthy food and drink. And about how useful kvass is, the very way of its preparation speaks. After all, it is based on fermentation, in which live bacteria participate. They, getting into our stomach along with kvass, contribute to better assimilation of food and the removal of harmful toxins from the body.

According to historical sources, previously there were at least 500 recipes of this useful drink. He was made of mountain ash and mint, beets and millet, currants and raspberries, and other natural products. Today, too, you can easily cook, for example, kvass from oats. After all, this cereal is used not only for the preparation of oatmeal or as horse feed. Grain and straw oats have healing properties and are widely used in folk medicine and in various diets.

Well, it's very easy to make kvass from oats. We need to take a half-liter jar of this grain, rinse it well several times and fill it with a three-liter jar. There you should top up the boiled and cooled to room temperature water, add 3-4 tablespoons of sugar and a dozen raisins, washed with warm water. The bank is covered with layers of gauze folded in several layers and placed in the sun or just in a warm place.

And in 3-4 days this drink will be ready for use. Ready kvass from the oats are drained and put in the refrigerator. They can not only quench their thirst. Oat kvass is useful for cleaning the liver, strengthening immunity and even treating tumors. And the remaining yeast can be used up to four times. Just every time you need to pour sugar into it and pour it with cooled boiling water. And with each subsequent tabulation, the amount of sugar should be reduced by one tablespoon.

By a similar principle, you can do not only kvass from oats. Other cereals, for example millet, are suitable for this. For the preparation of such a drink, two glasses of this cereal must be filled into a three-liter jar. There should also put three tablespoons of sugar and a few crusts of black bread. Then the contents of the jar are poured with warm water, and this leaven is put in a dark place for 2-3 days. Kvass can be considered ready for use when bubbles appear on its surface. This drink cleans the pancreas and liver well. Also, you can add broths of different herbs (chamomile, clover, mint) to it. Kvass thus not only gets a new taste, but also enhances its healing properties.

In our temperate climate, a tree grows like a horse chestnut tree. It blossoms beautifully in the spring, and in autumn its fruits simply fall off and their wipers throw them into the rubbish together with the leaves. But these, at first glance, useless fruits have many healing properties. And they can be used not only in medicine.

And now about how to make kvass from these fruits. To do this, take 30-40 chestnuts and cut them into pieces together with the skin. Then they are thrown into a jar, add a glass of sugar and half a glass of milk whey for the starter. All this is poured with well water and left in a warm room for a week or two. As a result of such actions, a drink with a pleasant taste is obtained. To it still it is possible to add various plants - hops, cumin, dill, coriander, pepper, black currant leaves and others. This kvass strengthens the body and increases immunity, and you can drink it as much as you want. And it's best to do it half an hour before eating. Then a glass of chestnut kvass will bring the most tangible effect.
