Konstantin Konstantinov was born in 1978 in the city of Liepaja (Latvia). Despite the fact that the boy's parents did not have any relation to the sport, the future champion decided to go to the gymnastics section on their own. Kostya was then only six years old.

Then he switched to judo. This kind of martial arts required a good strength training, so in the training program of the young athlete included exercises with the bar. In adolescence, Constantine Konstantinov, whose growth increased every year, was actively attracted to fashion at the time bodybuilding. The boy did not have a coach, so he developed the first training program on his own. Kostya's emphasis was on strength exercises, wishing to achieve certain results in powerlifting. Already at 17, Konstantin Konstantinov, whose growth at that time was 180 centimeters with a weight of 73 kg, showed excellent results. His best figure in traction reached 215 kg.

Information about the training and nutrition of powerlifters at that time was very small. All that can be recognized by Kostya from rare specialized publications. The young man independently composed the diet, which, as it turned out later, almost perfectly met all the necessary conditions for a diet of professional powerlifters.

In 1997, Konstantin Konstantinov, whose growth has almost reached the genetic limit, went to the first competition in Latvia, where he managed to become a winner. Then began the performances in the international arena: in Austria, Finland, Russia, Germany and other countries. In 2000, the athlete won the first victory outside Latvia, then won the open Moscow Powerlifting Cup. Also successfully ended for the Konstantinov competition in Nizhny Novgorod.

In 2002, the athlete established two records at the European Championship. Constantine Konstantinov, whose thrust reached at that time 390 kilograms, was able to collect a sum of 1002.5 kg. This result allowed the powerlifter to become the absolute champion of Europe (juniors). This title Constantine managed to win and in Helsinki. There he also set a new record, collecting in the eventing 1041 kg. A similar story took place in Vienna in 2003. In addition to the received title, Konstantinov established 2 world records. Every year the powerlifter achieved new successes both in his native country and in the international arena.

In 2010, Constantine suffered a serious upper back injury. After that, I had to recover for a long time, and a number of significant competitions the athlete missed. Nevertheless, the hero of this article managed to win bronze at the tournament "The Battle of Champions". Soon the athlete completed his sports career.

The athlete makes up to 20 sets of 3-5 repetitions. Exercise goes both from the pit and from the stand. Also Constantine performs cravings in the classical style. He uses the weight of workers, without maximum. The athlete's training lasts four hours and is divided into two stages, the rest between them is 15-20 minutes. It is worth noting that Konstantinov does not use any equipment.

In the second case, the athlete makes up to 10 approaches of high-speed traction from the ground and full squats with a bar according to the scheme 5 x 5.
