Karkade tea properties and history

Many are familiar with such a drink as karkade tea. This delicious and useful flower tea is only a little inferior in popularity to traditional black and green tea. But in most cases this drink is not used in our way as it should.

As already mentioned, karkade - floral tea, although flowers karkade simply do not exist in nature. In fact, this tea is brewed from the flowers of hibiscus, which is also sometimes called Sudanese rose, desert rose or Aswan rose. To us, in the main, they bring exactly crushed petals, that is, karkade.

In Russia, this tea appeared relatively recently, which is why we have not developed a culture of its use. Up to what we often call red tea, for color. But this is not entirely correct, despite the visual evidence of such a name. The fact is that red tea is a tea obtained during the fermentation process of ordinary black tea, to which you are accustomed.

Karkade tea, whose properties are known to many, contains a huge number of different useful elements. It includes various fruit acids, amino acids, antioxidants, micro and macro elements, vitamins, bioflavonoids and polysaccharides.

That is why karkade tea has its own properties and acquired it. It helps strengthen the walls of blood vessels, regulates their permeability, lowers the amount of harmful cholesterol in the blood, has an antibacterial effect, normalizes the digestive system and the liver. In addition, it helps fight some types of allergies, and also helps to remove toxins and heavy metals from the body. This property of hibiscus has a lot of practical applications. For example, karkade tea perfectly helps with alcohol poisoning. In addition, the removal of toxins and toxins greatly contributes to the process of weight loss, so that you can also be recommended to lose weight by losing weight karkade. The properties of this tea are truly magical and the above does not end there.

It only remains to mention how to properly brew this tea. There are three different ways:

- the petals of hibiscus are filled with boiling water, leave for 5-10 minutes;

- lower the petals in a boiling pod and boil for 3-5 minutes;

- put the petals in cold water, bring to a boil, remove from heat and let it brew.

Usually karkade is brewed in the following proportion: 1 teaspoon of flowers per 250 ml, however, personal preference is much more important in this case .
