What is nature? Our life...

Nature ... So different, so clear ... So close, so incomprehensible. We pronounce the word "nature", going on a country holiday. We are talking about nature, characterizing our habitat. We lament that we have not been able to conquer nature, and we are glad that we have not completely destroyed it yet.

So what is nature? Definitions are many. One of them, the narrowest in meaning, says that nature is everything that natural sciences study and study. Such an applied definition does not at all explain the essence of the concept.

What is nature? This is all that has appeared in the universe and exists independently of the activity or desire of man. This is the answer to the question about what nature is, an encyclopedia.

The planets and the universal vacuum, the diversity of terrestrial organisms and volcanoes on Mars, summer thunderstorms and terrible viruses, oceans and plasmas, man and quasars - this is nature. It can be cultivated or wild, alive or inanimate. This is the broadest interpretation of the term.

But there is one more answer to the question of what nature is. Nature is the place of our dwelling. It is a complex of all natural conditions for the existence of human society and the environment in which it lives.

The interaction of society and nature can be positive, neutral or negative. For many centuries primitive people lived, adapting to the environment and not really thinking about where the storms or winds come from, why it is colder in winter than in summer.

Gradually developing, the society began to think about its surroundings. In attempts to explain incomprehensible phenomena, mermaids and nymphs were born, spirits appeared living in plants, Greek and Slavic Gods ascended to the heights and skies .

How, at what point did the person decide that he was not just the master, but the King of Nature? We started building dams and turning the rivers, bringing out new varieties of plants, crossing crabs with tomatoes. The term "conquer nature" for many years has become the motto of the life of human society.

Today, nature is tired of our experiences and attempts to conquer it and began to take revenge. Infinite floods, an unprecedented tsunami, an unprecedented tornado destroy everything that a man built. Mutations, new deadly diseases, immunodeficiency, autoimmune diseases threaten the very existence of mankind. The interaction of man and nature has become a confrontation.

We forgot that nature depends very much on how human society treats it. We do not remember that everything in the universe is interconnected. If we, people who consider themselves civilized, continue to change their environment, destroy the harmony inherent in natural nature, then in one far from perfect moment nature can change us. It is unrecognizable. Forever. Or maybe she just wants to shake us off the body of the Earth, as dogs shake off annoying aggressive insects. Changing hurricanes, tsunamis, other natural disasters and global catastrophes make us think about it.

Man and society can learn to live in full harmony with nature. To do this, you need to understand: there is only one right answer to the question of what nature is. Nature is our life.
