Karagan tree - acacia from childhood
Very often the names of plants that are used in everyday life become so common that most people do not even know about those that have scientific names. A striking example of the presence of a double name is the yellow acacia, which the botanists called the tree carcase tree.
In addition to Kazakhstan, the tree tree is found in the wild in Mongolia and western Siberia. Of the total number of all species, which number about 70, cultivation in the middle climatic zone can be subjected to about ten.
In the wild, acacia yellow (caragana tree) is a plant capable of reaching almost seven meters in height. On the territory of Russia, you can often find a small three-meter tree-like bush with several trunks coming from one root system. The leaves are painted in a gray-green color and consist of separate small (up to 2 cm long) oval leaflets arranged in pairs. The flowers are yellow, collected in bundles, the seeds are small peas that are in the pods. The time of their ripening is July. After the seeds have fully ripened, the pod itself begins to dry out gradually, and then crack. As a result, the seeds pea seeds spill onto the ground.
Before planting seeds in the soil, they must be soaked in water for 24 hours, then to dig at a depth of not more than 4 cm. In the initial stage of the barrow, the tree-like tree develops rather slowly, active growth occurs only two years after planting. After five years, the acacia can reach a height of two meters, at the same age you can see the first flowering.
As a fertilizer, it is possible to use reparting leaves. When forming an earthen crust around the trunk, it is advisable to loosen it. Watering should be permanent, on hot days it is necessary to give a karagane to three buckets of water.
Yellow acacia can be seen everywhere due to the fact that it is unpretentious, unresponsive to temperature changes, absolutely tolerates drought, it is often used in the greening of public gardens, playgrounds, pedestrian streets. On their own private plots the owners plant acacia with the goal of creating natural hedges that protect against noise and gas pollution. Besides, the beekeepers are very fond of cargan, it is an excellent honey plant.
