Is a mushroom like a chanterelle dangerous?

Chanterelles are mushrooms that can be found in different parts of the world. Gourmets really appreciate them for their excellent taste. These macromycetes are very difficult to cultivate. Therefore, people collect them in the forest. However, there is a mushroom that looks like a chanterelle. And not one. Therefore, "quiet hunters" should be able to distinguish between these macromycetes.

Govorushka orange (kokoshka)

This mushroom, like a chanterelle, has an external resemblance to it. For a long time, the orange talker was considered inedible or even poisonous. Some consider it as such now. However, not so long ago, researchers denied this information. Govorushke orange was given the status of a low - value conditionally edible fungus. It belongs to the fourth category. Of course, this fungus, similar to a chanterelle, can not be compared with the latter in taste. Do not discount the previous status of the orange goon. The fact that it is absolutely safe, full of confidence is not, and to return it again to the category of inedible or poisonous macromycetes is not so long. This fungus, similar to a chanterelle, in some people can cause various disorders associated with the digestive system.

An orange goon can be found everywhere in forests of deciduous, coniferous and mixed type in the temperate climatic zone of the Northern Hemisphere. Prefers pine massifs. Govorushka often settles on stumps, rotten wood, on heaps of windmills, near anthills (real chanterelle does not grow on a tree). These mushrooms, similar to chanterelles, grow singly, but there are exceptions. Fruit they are in the period from August to October. The peak of the yield of orange golovushki falls at the end of September. The macromycete cap is funnel-shaped, velvety, with edges wrapped down. Her color is light orange. Leg orange, smooth, thin, often curved. The flesh is viscous, soft, light or yellow. Smell and taste does not. Plates in the tone of the cap, frequent, descending along the stem, forked-branched.

Summarizing, we can say that in real foxes, the color varies from yellow-yellow to yellow-ocher, and fruit bodies are more massive and fleshy.

Voronochnik rozhkovidny (the chanterelle gray)

This macromycete is little known. It is edible (fourth category). Its habitat ranges from the Baltic to the Far Eastern regions. To distinguish a spinner from a real chanterelle is not so difficult in color. It resembles the latter only in form. The fungus settles in small groups, often several dozen. The fruiting body is tubular or funnel-shaped, gradually turning into a leg. The edges of the cap are bent. The outer surface is greyish-gray and wrinkled, while the inner surface is darkish-brown. After cooking, the macromycete becomes completely black.

Omphalot olive

There are also poisonous mushrooms, similar to chanterelles. However, they are not found in the temperate zone . One of these macromycetes is the olfactory olive oil. It grows in the Mediterranean countries and subtropics. This fungus is deadly poisonous. This false chanterelle, unlike the present, grows on trees. Plates in the fungus are thinner and reach the edge.
