Igor Moiseev's ballet: world recognition

Moiseev made an irreplaceable contribution to the choreography not only of his country, but of the whole world. All his life he devoted to creativity and achieved unprecedented success in developing the skill of choreography. Start

The future artist learned the dance by accident. His dad gave it to the dance studio only so that the negative effect of the street did not appear on it. The boy showed his abilities quickly enough. Having noticed this, his teacher, the former ballerina Vera Mosolova, brought him to the ballet school at the Bolshoi Theater. Igor was immediately appreciated, under his wing took the chief choreographer of the institution. Igor very quickly formed in the dance sphere.

A major breakthrough in his career was the staging of the parade on Red Square. For this he involved the students of the school. The performance was more than successful, it delighted many. After him, orders from the highest level simply fell on Igor. Even Stalin admired his performances and helped with the room for the work of the collective.

Basis of ballet

On February 10, 1937, the choreographer founded Igor Moiseyev's ballet. The main characteristics of its formation were continuity and creative interaction of traditions and innovation. He managed to correctly prioritize his team. Thanks to this, I succeeded in fulfilling the set goals.

The main goal of Moiseev was the choreographic interpretation of the images of folklore that existed for that hour. To realize their goal, the ensemble members traveled the country and studied folk customs. They got acquainted with the folklore of different peoples, they sought out disappearing dances, rituals and songs.

The work done was fruitful. There were unique "Dances of the Peoples of the USSR" (1937-1938), "Dances of the Baltic peoples" (1939). Master invested his soul in his artistic images. In the interpretation of his ballet, they revived on stage and were preserved for many generations of the world.

To correctly and intelligibly convey to the viewer, Moiseyev spared no effort, he used the stage culture completely: acting skills, all kinds and kinds of dances, dramaturgy, scenography, symphonic music.

European folklore

A significant period in his work was the study and creative interpretation of European folklore. Unable to go abroad, Igor Moiseyev's ballet "Dances of the Slavic Peoples" was staged exclusively at home. For this the head consulted with many specialists. Success did not keep itself waiting.

On tour in Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Poland, the audience was simply fascinated by the ensemble. So correctly the productions were made and the artistic meaning of the stage works was truly conveyed. The creations of Moiseev became a kind of choreographic handbook used by different peoples. He put the program "Peace and Friendship", in which he collected images of dance folklore of eleven countries, among them European and Asian. The countries of Europe took an example from Igor Moiseyev's dance productions and created their own choreographic collectives.

Always the first

At that time, the country was not in a very favorable situation for the development of creativity. Igor Moiseev's ballet was the first dance collective, which was allowed to tour abroad. The ensemble's performances were crowned with success, this was the first step towards international detente.

In 1955, the artists first performed in London and Paris. And in 1958 they became one of the first domestic bands that showed their performance in the US. Successful tours in America, the press appreciated and paved the way to the trust of the USSR.

As well as many decades, sold-out accompanies Igor Moiseev's ballet. The concert schedule shows this clearly. The schedule of performances was scheduled for several years ahead.

School of Moiseev

The Moiseyev school of dance was unique and unique in its kind. She was distinguished by professionalism of the highest degree, virtuosity and excellent improvisation. For this production the master received the "Lenin Prize", and his ensemble was awarded the title of "Academic."

70 years of recognition around the world

Stage activity of the band lasts more than 70 years, he was awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples. You can absolutely honestly call the ballet of Igor Moiseyev the visiting card of our country. Tickets that are sold at the ticket offices of the Moscow Philharmonic are immediately sold out.

For an invaluable contribution to the art of dance Igor Moiseyev was awarded the Oscar. And even after his death to date, he lives in the heart of his ensemble, which holds the appropriate level and is an impeccable example.
