How to replace the drug "No-shpa"? Analog "No-shpy" cheap and effective
Perhaps, anyone who has ever experienced pain and cramps, is familiar with the drug No-shpa. The analogue of it is "Drotaverin", which completely repeats this drug in its composition and action, is not known to everyone. Most people rely more on advertising and the familiar name, which over many years of use has already become a symbol of getting rid of pain. Many take "No-shpu" in any spasm, prescribing this medicine to themselves without consulting a doctor. But, despite the good reputation of the brand and the high effectiveness of the drug, it still has many contraindications and side effects. And in many cases, when you need "No-shpa", its analog is preferable. To be sure that taking these pills will help with pain and will not lead to new problems, you need to know the features of their action, the indications and contraindications to the application.
History of the drug's popularity
In the middle of the 19th century, an effective analgesic substance was isolated from opium. He was called papaverine. At the beginning of the 20th century, mass production of this drug was established. This medicine was inexpensive and was used to relieve pain and spasms in many diseases. In the 60s the preparation was improved. Based on it, two similar medicines were produced. The Hungarian pharmaceutical company produced the drug No-shpa. Its analogue is produced in Russia and is called "Drotaverina hydrochloride". "No-shpa" itself is more popular mainly because of the reputation of the Hinoin pharmacy. But in recent years, drugs have become more expensive, and therefore not everyone is now available "No-shpa." The Russian analogue of "Drotaverina hydrochloride" costs 5 times cheaper, and is not inferior in effectiveness to it. Many patients who tried to replace "No-shpu" "Drotaverinom" note that they did not feel any difference.
Effect of the drug
The main active substance "No-shpy" - drotaverin. It belongs to myotropic antispasmodics and is popular because of its ability to quickly remove spasms of smooth muscles of internal organs. This is reflected even in the name of the drug, which from the Latin language is translated as "no spasm".
In what cases is the drug used
Very effective "No-shpa" for pain of different origins, especially those caused by spasms of blood vessels or muscles. It is prescribed by doctors for many diseases. And some people, often experiencing pain, take the drug even without consulting a doctor, which is undesirable, because you need to know in which cases the reception of "No-shpy" is shown. It is appointed:
- with spastic colitis, constipation, gastritis, gastroduodenitis and ulcers;
- with painful menstruation;
- to prevent premature birth, reduce the tone of the uterus and remove postpartum labor;
- with renal colic, cholecystitis and dyskinesia of bile ducts;
- with urolithic and cholelithiasis;
- with headaches caused by vasospasm;
- with deep cuts, stretching muscles and injuries.
Forms of release "No-shpy"
1. This drug is best known in the form of small round tablets of yellowish color.
2. In hospitals or for the management of severe colic and spasms, a solution for intravenous or intramuscular administration is used. One ampoule also contains a single dose of drotaverin - 40 milligrams. This form of the drug is dispensed from pharmacies only on prescription, and is widely used mainly in medical institutions.
Side effects
The drug can cause the following undesirable effects:
- cardiopalmus;
- pressure reduction;
- fever and increased sweating;

- Allergic reactions.
More dangerous is the intravenous introduction of "No-shpy." It can cause arrhythmia, a drop in pressure and even respiratory depression. Therefore, more often for use outside the medical institution is appointed orally "No-shpa" (tablets).
Instructions for use
Tablets "No-shpy" should be drunk 2-3 times a day. Duration of admission depends on the doctor's recommendation. If you had to take the drug without the appointment of a specialist, you should not drink it for more than two days. And it's not even that it can cause side effects. "No-shpa" very effectively relieves pain, which can be a symptom of a serious illness.

"No-shpa" in pregnancy
Now quite often many doctors use drugs based on drotaverine during pregnancy. Mostly with obstetrics to speed up the opening of the cervix. But at any time of pregnancy, you can take the drug "No-shpa" (pills). The instruction recommends doing this only under the supervision of a doctor, although it is believed that the drug does not have any negative consequences for the development of the child.
How can I replace "No-shpu"
Not everyone is available this medicine, although it is not very expensive - the packing of tablets costs about 200 rubles. But many use cheaper drugs. Moreover, not all and not with any pains helps "No-shpa". Analogues cheap sometimes are more effective. But in order to correctly choose an anesthetic drug, you need to know the features of its action, as well as the origin and nature of the pain. All drugs based on drotaverine help only with spasms of blood vessels or muscles. Useless, they will be with headaches of vascular origin and with migraine. In these cases, special drugs are prescribed. It can be "Paracetamol" or "Analgin". With pain caused by inflammation, it is best to take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: Ibuprofen, Pentalgin, and others. Tooth pain is better removed "Ketoprofen." But the question of what can replace "No-shpu" can be solved only with a doctor. If the expert has appointed or nominated this preparation, that means, pains are caused by spasms of vessels or smooth musculation. In this case, it is the "No-shpa" that will help you best. An analogue can be taken in place of it, but not always these drugs are effective, and their effect may not be so long. This can be caused by additional substances in the composition, dishonesty of manufacturers or dosage of drotaverine.
"No-shpa" - analogues
The price of various drugs ranges from 50 to 200 rubles, depending on the manufacturer's reputation, the number of tablets in the package and the form of release of the medicine. The most expensive means from this group are "No-shpa Forte" and actually "No-shpa". Analogues are cheap - these are mostly Russian preparations based on drotaverine or papaverine. These include:
- "Drotaverina hydrochloride";
- "Drotaverin Forte";
- "Papaverin";
- Spazmol;
- "Spasmonet";
- "Noch-Bra".
In addition, the Indian version of "Spaspeverin" and a more powerful anesthetic - "No-shpalgin" - are also manufactured. The latter drug, in addition to drotaverine, contains codeine and paracetamol and is sold only on prescription.
What you need to know when taking painkillers
1. All such drugs, for example, "No-shpa", "Analgin" and others, do not treat the disease, but only mask the symptoms. This is especially true for drugs based on drotaverine. They relieve spasms and quickly help with severe pain. But it can be evidence of the development of a tumor or the onset of a serious disease. Therefore, it is not recommended to drink "No-shpu" for more than two days without consulting a doctor.
2. Before taking any drugs based on drotaverine, you need something to eat. This substance on an empty stomach is absorbed worse, and in this case there is more possibility of development of side effects.
3. If after the reception of "No-shpy" pain did not decrease after 20-30 minutes or there was nausea, weakness and dizziness, it is worth noting from taking the drug.
4. Some drugs, for example "Phenobarbital" and other antispasmodics, can enhance the action of "No-shpy", but the joint use of different medications is possible only according to the doctor's prescription.
