The main mistake that many housewives allow, preparing this vegetable, is the absence of heat treatment. That is, it is simply washed, cut and placed in the freezer. As a result, it is simply thrown away. The main secret of how to freeze the string bean for the winter: it must be blanched beforehand. And it is desirable to do this in salted water. Beans must be cleaned beforehand and cut off hard edges. Next, boil the water, which is salted to taste. Then send the pods into it. Cook them until ready (about 20 minutes) or just blanch for 5 minutes. In the first case, the product will be ready for use, and after defrosting it can be added to salads or garnishes without additional processing. The second option allows you to get a semi-finished product, the properties of which are close to a fresh vegetable.
