Traditionally, the ruler is cooked in the Czech Republic, where it is called the sonorous name "Veprevo knee", and in Germany. Our tourists who have visited these countries, with pleasure and even with some surprise, recall the famous Czech roll, cooked on dark beer (well, where without it in the Czech Republic!) And the so-called iceberg, which is known in Germany, and how part of the pig's leg Can be related to the rink (iceberg), this is completely incomprehensible, because it is prepared with sauerkraut, like other famous dishes of Bavarian cuisine. But, maybe, the German name comes from other words or has some special history? In any case, there is something to think about ...

But here's how to cook a pork knuckle not in Germany or the Czech Republic, but right at home? And to get just as amazingly delicious? The most important thing in its preparation is observance of cleanliness and even German accuracy. However, the same can be said about the preparation of any other dish, sausages, for example. This means that the piece of the pig's leg should be thoroughly washed and scraped with a sharp knife, so that nothing can stop it from enjoying this excellent taste.

How to cook a pilchard pork inexpensive and at the same time very tasty? An inexpensive and tasty dish can turn out if you use baked vegetables. For this almost German dish, only without sauerkraut, first of all, of course, a shank will be needed - without it nothing will turn out. But if you take two carrots, one or even two sweet peppers, a big bulb, a pumpkin, peppers (peas), a little vegetable, salt with pepper to taste, from seasonings - oregano and rosemary, and mayonnaise, then it will be even better.

For starters, it would be nice to rinse and shred with a knife. Then put in a saucepan and put on fire, without forgetting to pour water into the pan. Bring to a boil, boil for two or three minutes, drain the water. It is better not to throw out the drained water, but to cook on it a delicious dinner for your beloved cat - he will immediately smile with complacent, like the Cheshire Cat from "Alice in Wonderland". Then pour the water again and then cook until ready - it will be an hour and a half, maybe two. And you need to cook with laurel and spices.

Now you can get the finished rulk, extract it from the stone, put it all in shape, cover with a mayonnaise in a strict proportion, the more, the better, and put in a hot oven - let it bake.

Now vegetables for garnish. They need to be washed, cut into large pieces, put in a bowl and bake for twenty minutes or a little more, if necessary. After all the manipulations, the dish prepared and smelling with unspeakable flavors can be served on the table, laid out on a large flat plate. During dinner, the cat should be removed to the yard, otherwise it can go crazy.

Another dish, which may well tease the flavors of not only the surrounding cats and dogs, but also make the stomach digest itself from impatience, is called a roll of pork shank. This dish is no less popular than the pork knuckle baked in the sleeve, but it's a little easier to cook.
Prepare for the ritual, two pork shanks, washing, scraping and drying. Let's make marinade: crushed garlic (one clove, but you can also two if you want), two spoons of soy sauce, one spoonful of olive oil and mayonnaise, half a spoonful of ketchup, pepper, rosemary and basil thoroughly mix. Now, with the marinade we spread the pulp (densely) and just set aside for the night to soak.

Clean, wash and dry the wheel. We make marinade - we mix the crushed garlic, soy sauce, basil, black pepper and rosemary, add butter, mayonnaise and ketchup. We spread the pilchard with the prepared marinade, put it aside for thirty or forty minutes, but better for the whole night. In the morning put in a form, cover with foil and bake for about two and a half hours. On the surface, an amazingly delicious crust is formed, and the meat easily separates from the bones, which is what you need to do. Everything, a roll of pork shank is ready.

This, of course, is good, but who tried the wheel in the Czech Republic, then wonders how to cook a pinworm in a beer. It is not difficult. Legs, carrots, two onions, celery and a couple of peppercorns put in boiling water, salt and cook for half an hour. Yes, do not forget to add beer to the broth. Remove the rods, rub garlic, pepper, rosemary and thyme, put on a grate, and down - a baking tray, on which a little beer is poured. Bake for about two hours, every 15 minutes, watering the legs with Bavarian unfiltered beer.
