The list was supplemented by a coin dedicated to the first flight into Gagarin's space. It was minted on the reverse side with the inscription on the 40th anniversary of the event. The quantitative circulation remained unchanged. Since 2002, the production of individual collections has become serial. During this period, several individual meetings are organized simultaneously, united by a single symbol: "Ministries of the Russian Federation" (created to mark the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the first institution of this type in the country) and "Ancient Cities." In the first case, seven coins were issued:

• Ministry of Justice;
• Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia;
• Ministry of Finance;
• MERiT (economic development and trade);
• Ministry of Education.

Each of them was made in the amount of five million pieces and contained two metals - nickel and brass. It should be noted that both mints of the country were engaged in manufacturing: three were minted in Moscow, four were made in St. Petersburg. The series "Ancient Cities" of 2002 included three coins:

• Derbent;
• Old Russa;
• Kostroma.

The composition and number of copies did not differ from the collection of ministries of the same period. • Tver and Orel regions;
• Tatarstan;
• Krasnodar region;
• Moscow.

The trend of issuing coins of two series continued in 2009:

In 2010, the collection of Ancient Cities added two more copies to its piggy bank - Bryansk and Yuryevets. But the "Russian Federation" has undergone changes in the circulation, since the 10 millionth production has significantly decreased:

• YaNAO (Yamalo-Nenets) and Chechnya - one hundred thousand;
• The Perm region is two hundred thousand;
• Nenets (Nenets) - slightly less than two million.

In addition, a coin was made, dedicated to the census of the Russian population (2.3 million copies) and the 65th anniversary of the Victory (10 million). In the latter case, the composition of the material changed: steel was used, covered with brass-galvanic paint. This composition was applied in 2011 in a new direction - "Cities of Military Glory." There were eight such coins:

• Yelnya;
• Kursk;
• Eagle;
• Belgorod;
• Vladikavkaz;
• Rzhev;
• Malgobek;
• Dace.

The old collections received two copies: the Voronezh Region and Buryatia ("the RF"); Yelets from Solikamsk ("DG"). There was also a commemorative coin dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the conquest of space by Gagarin created on the basis of the "GVS" series technology. 2012-2015

In this four-year period several collections were launched, timed to significant historical events:

2. Jubilee dates dedicated to the confrontation with Hitler.
3. Sports achivments.
4. 10 rubles jubilee "Crimea", timed for the return of the peninsula to the Russian Federation.
5. Commemorative coins in honor of the statehood of the country.

Price variability of the "urban" series

Any amateur coin collector, who is going to start collecting "chervontsi" of the newest history of Russia, asks the question about how much the 10 rubles are worth with the cities. To date, the cost of such coins does not exceed 200 rubles. The highest price depends on several details:

1. Material of manufacture (the first bimetallic specimens are cheaper).
2. Year of release (the earlier, the more expensive).
3. A concrete series ("Ancient Cities" is traditionally more valuable than "GVS").
