Do you have blood in the saliva? What does this mean?

Many people pay too much attention to the state of their teeth, but their gums health worries in the last place, which leads to negative consequences. Slowly but surely sneak up such insidious diseases of gums as periodontal disease and periodontitis. What are these unpleasant ailments? We'll figure it out further.

Having found once a blood in a saliva, any person will not give it special value, and will consider it only temporary unpleasantness and will think, that all necessarily will pass by itself. But it is not always the case. The consequences can be the most deplorable, up to the total loss of teeth.

So what does the blood say about saliva? Firstly, the cause of bleeding gums can be caused by mechanical traumatism of periodontal tissues with stiff bristles. To avoid this problem, you need to pay close attention to your toothbrush, is it too hard bristles. Secondly, again, you need to pay attention to the toothbrush, is it too soft? Both a soft and too hard toothbrush can lead to gum disease. As already mentioned above, a hard brush is the source of injury to periodontal tissues, but the soft brush, on the other hand, does not purify the entire plaque, both from the teeth and from the gingival pockets. As a result, dental stones are formed, and then problems with gums arise. Thirdly, the reason for the appearance of blood in the saliva may be caries. When too many pathogenic microorganisms accumulate on the mucous membrane, a favorable environment for inflammation of the periodontal tissues is created and, as a consequence, blood appears in the saliva, which can be detected both during brushing of teeth and at bite and chewing of hard food.

The main cause of such trouble, as blood in the saliva in the morning when cleaning teeth, is a bad blood supply to the gums. Insufficient blood supply of periodontal tissues can be caused by both hereditary and microbial factors. All this leads to periodontal disease, a disease in which the surrounding tissue of the tissue changes. Parodontosis can be caused by a variety of factors, the most important of which are: heredity, diabetes and other systemic diseases. With periodontal disease there is atrophy of bone tissue, where the alveolar process of the tooth is located, which leads to the mobility of the teeth. The gums are usually pale in color. Also, the disease is often accompanied by a wedge-shaped defect. Periodontal disease is rare, but, unfortunately, is not completely cured.

Blood at cleaning teeth is not always a signal of periodontal disease, it can also be a manifestation of periodontitis. With irregular oral hygiene, dental plaque abundantly accumulates along the gingival margin, which leads to inflammation and bleeding. Subsequently, gingivitis develops. The reason is not the dental plaque itself, but the microorganisms that live in it. And there are a lot of them. The most harmful of them are peptostrepococci, which have a high ability to adhere to the tooth tissues, they also actively interact with other bacteria, creating powerful and harmful compounds with them. With parodontitis the gums bleed and are very painful. Like parodontosis, periodontitis, unfortunately, does not heal completely. If the gums bleed, in no case should you stop brushing your teeth, this will only lead to a greater accumulation of bacteria, which in the future will lead to even more inflammation. At such times, gently massage the gums and rinse the mouth with anti-inflammatory decoctions. Thus, transferring the disease to the stage of remission. If you carefully treat the health of the oral cavity, you can prevent a lot of problems in the future.
