Plaque: to prevent it is very simple!

Dental plaque - this is some deposits that have the property to accumulate on enamel, gums, dentures, crowns and seals. And the composition of this plaque includes both food remnants and a huge number of bacteria, which, in turn, lead to gum disease and the development of caries. Reproduction of them occurs after ingestion of a large number of carbohydrates.

As is known, plaque is formed due to the fact that the dentin, which forms the basis of the tooth, dims both from the outside and from the inside. External darkening is caused in many respects by frequent consumption of coffee and smoking. But among the factors that cause internal color changes, called the increased content of fluoride, which can occur after swallowing the paste.

When plaque is not removed, its transformation into a dental plaque occurs - a soft deposit of light color. After a week, it hardens and turns into stone.

How to remove plaque on the teeth? It's simple enough: regularly brush your teeth and tongue yourself and by visiting a dentist. Remember, if you rinse your mouth, do not prevent the formation of plaque. The main rule of cleaning your teeth - carefully. If you do this procedure several times a day, but badly, it will not bring any benefit. You can do it once, but thoroughly.

To minimize the possibility of dental plaque, it is recommended to choose pastes with a high content of fluoride. This element resists the development of caries, strengthens teeth and is perfectly combined in its chemical properties with saliva. Also suitable pastes, the main task of which is to prevent the formation of stone.

To ensure that dental plaque disturbs you as little as possible, do not skimp on the brush. It should be changed every three months. The Association of Dentists considers the most optimal those that have a soft structure and are rounded at the ends of the bristles. The thing is that stiff bristles damage the gums, thus provoking flaking from the teeth. If you use a small toothbrush, you can easily reach to the back teeth.

Dental floss has a great advantage in the prevention of plaque . It penetrates into the space between the teeth, thoroughly cleaning this area and their surface.

What factors worsen the condition of the teeth, increasing the risk of plaque formation? Consider the main ones:

  1. Chewing food. Bacteria that live in the mouth, eat all the elements containing carbohydrates (dairy products, honey, sugar, fruit). It is necessary as rarely as possible to use sugar in one form or another, because it is not its quantity, but the frequency of its use that is important.
  2. Coffee, nicotine. The presence of these elements leads to the formation of a brown plaque on the teeth.
  3. Sweet drinks. When using them, swallow the contents immediately, without delaying in the mouth. After eating any product that contains sugar, you need to brush your teeth.

It is useful to eat raw vegetables and fruits, as well as peanuts and cheese. To strengthen the teeth use tincture of celery: 250 ml of vodka and 2 teaspoons of herbs, which are infused for 7 days. When rinsing in a glass of water, add one spoon of this mixture.

Garlic, plantain and eggshell shells (preferably, home) are also excellent tools for strengthening the teeth and gums. So, garlic can rub your teeth for the night or eat two lobules a day. From the plantain make a tincture for rinsing, and the shell needs to be rubbed into a grain and taken on a teaspoon per day, washed down with a lot of boiled water.

Remember that taking care of your teeth, taking preventive measures, is much easier and cheaper than then to deal with their treatment.
