Historical events in the Valley of Death

At the end of 1941, during the war, the Soviet soldiers carried out the operation of releasing Leningrad. It was in that place near the village where the Death Valley (Meatnoy Bor) is located, that the Red Army broke through the fascist defense. The formed "gap" was used by soldiers of the 2nd Shock Army. They quickly advanced their positions on it to an important strategic object - a densely populated Lubani.

For this corridor clearance, which arose near Myasnoy Bor, very fierce battles were fought. For seven months during 1941-1942, the size of the passage was constantly changing: its width was 3-4 kilometers, then it narrowed to 300 meters of fully shot space. This introduced additional difficulties that arose during the supply of supplies to the Red Army through such an unreliable corridor. This was the main reason that the Lubansk operation failed and the 2nd Shock Army completely disappeared.

On June 25, 1942, the German army and the Spanish Blue Division liquidated this corridor. This contributed to the complete encirclement of the 2nd Shock Army. Trying to break free, most of her soldiers died. Others were taken prisoner.

In Russia there are a lot of territories where soldiers' blood was shed. But Meat Boar has a special place. Wooded and swampy lands of the Novgorod region are inherently scary places. Almost every summer for 10 years, he came here to conduct excavations and search for soldiers' remains. He committed their reburial in the territory of the local cemetery in accordance with all Christian laws.

Approximately from the age of thirty, Roshev began to dream about military events: attacks, battles and death. At night, he woke oddly, ran to some place and left a stick with his neck scarf. And in the morning they dug out the remains of a soldier, or even several.

When archaeologists wanted to be photographed near one of the funnels, the figure strangely showed the figures behind Vasily. It was not the only such case. Practically in all the photographs behind the scientist were some figures.

The military anomaly of the Death Valley

Communication of this forest with mankind occurs in an unusual way. Someone can go into it without problems, and for someone the entrance is closed. According to the stories of local residents to this day, you can hear the voices of men, the smell of makhorka or how the boughs creak. But no one responds when shouting ...

Then it becomes very creepy. At first this dumb silence, and then again the sounds of voices and automatic bursts. Meatnoy Bor is the Russian Death Valley, where you can not hear the singing of birds. They are simply not here. They, probably, will return here when absolutely all victims will be reburied.

The Valley of Death is the valley of repentance, not only for those who are in some way connected with this place, but for all of us who owe their peaceful life to those whose remains are there.
