Bounty Island - a paradise for tourists

Advertising a chocolate bar, periodically appearing, then disappearing from large screens, is familiar to everyone, if not from childhood, then from ancient times. Bounty Island was always associated with a lost piece of land somewhere in the paradise warm waters of the ocean, where sultry brunettes in white flying dresses are walking under palm trees. Many will be surprised to learn that this paradise on Earth exists, moreover, it was there that they shot an ad for "Bounty".

However, if you try to find the island of Bounty on the map of the world, Google will give a few similar names - to the disappointment of the fans of chocolates, this is a fairly common name for tropical islands, translated from English meaning "generosity", "gifts." Indeed, for tourists each island is a real gift of fate, whether it is located in the Dominican Republic or closer to Thailand.

The very island of Bounty

First of all, we are interested in the location of the advertising of the coconut bar - and they are called Ko-Samet, and for amateurs in Thai notation - Bounty Island in Thailand. This is how the tourists refer to the destination, expressing the wish to go there. The islet is located not far from Pattaya and Bangkok, so when you arrive in these competing cities for the title of the capital city, you will be taken to the island by an ordinary boat.

But the adventures of Robinson Crusoe will not be: enterprising agents and local businessmen have equipped the island, building the lion's share of the coastal strip of hotels - there are about 20, half of them - five-star.

And how else to assess the quiet gentle bay, so beloved by tourists all year round?

The climate of the island of Bounty allows you to swim in the ocean and sunbathe 300 days a year - on other days the monsoon is so strong that it provokes a storm. But the shallow shelf and the transparent bottom attract couples with children in the hope of rebuilding their nest, retaining vivid sensations for life.

Bounty Island - a true place name

Speaking of Bounty (an island with a real name), we mean waters south of Thailand, directly off the coast of New Zealand. In fact, Bounty is an archipelago that includes 13 islands, not counting a large number of rocks. It has its own highest point - the mountain rises as much as 90 meters above sea level. The entire Bounty area does not take more than 1.5 km, therefore it is uninhabitable for people. But seals and albatrosses, and even surprisingly rare guests - penguins, the island of Bounty entices. He deceives and deceives: as early as the beginning of the 20th century, the shooting of these animals was so widespread that it caused irreparable damage to the fauna of New Zealand.

Where did the archipelago take its name? It is clearly not from the generosity of the gifts of nature: in 1788, the ship "Bounty" came upon him. As seamen became pioneers, it was decided to fix this name behind the island. Is there fatal fame here? After only a couple of months after the opening, a mutiny broke out on the ship, and the captain with a team of like-minded men was launched into a boat and sent on a journey across the ocean.

Curious fact: the climate on the island is far from paradise, the coldest time of the year here is the end of summer, August, the temperature can drop to zero. Nevertheless, thanks to the amazing landscape and animal life, today Bounty Island is a UNESCO heritage.
