Crochet roses (patterns and description)

For the decoration of handicrafts, many craftsmen use crochet roses. Schemes of such decorations, many of them come up with their own. For beginner needlewomen, however, they have to look for simple options that they could easily handle.

Varieties of roses

Before you carefully consider knitting roses with crochet patterns, first we'll figure out what they are. The simplest are ordinary flat florets, which often serve as the basis for round or square motifs. These products are often used as appliqués or elements of Irish lace.

A much greater popularity is enjoyed by voluminous roses with several layers of petals. From the first try to figure out how to knit them, it's not easy. But, having mastered the main principles, you can begin to improvise and create your own "grades" of these colors.

Still roses are used as patterns. This is most typical for loin knitting. In this technique, the most space is for recreating complex and detailed drawings. Crochet roses, a scheme and a description of which are available in the collections of many craftsmen, can be mastered in a couple of hours.

Snow White Rose

Based on the simplest flower, you can tie a beautiful three-dimensional decorative detail. It consists of several layers.

The first stage of work - we knit a simple flower. The self-tightening ring is knitted from 2 posts without a crochet. In the second row we make 6 arches from the air loops. Their number can be arbitrary, but you should not do more than 5 to not strongly stretch the flower.

On the arches form the petals themselves from the columns with the crochet and without. The approximate scheme: 1 column without a crochet, 2 with 1 crochet, 1 with two nakidami, 2 with 1 nakidom, 1 without a crochet. As you noticed, the petal is symmetrical. You can experiment with the number of columns and nakids. But the more you place them on one arch, the larger the petal will become. This is the initial knitting pattern. When the first row of petals is ready, we do not cut off the thread, but from the back side we make 6 more arches from the air loops, so that they reach approximately to the middle of the front row. The petals form on the same principle, but we make a little more bars, because the number of air loops has increased. This way you can make up to 5 tiers. More will not be very beautiful.

Square motif

This way they create not only flowers for applique, but also grounds for different motifs. This is the joy that crochet roses give. Schemes of such motifs were used by our grandmothers when knit plaids were knitted.

When the main flower is ready, it is tied with green yarn along the lower tier. To do this, simple arches of air loops are used. On the four sides of the flower, imitations of leaves are made using lush columns or columns with a common apex. The next row is desirable to make the third color yarn, which will become the background color. In this row, columns with a crochet are made. In the corners where the leaves are located, the canvas is expanded due to an arch of air loops.

Another variation of the square motive

In square motifs, crochet roses are often used as a basis. The scheme of work in them is always approximately the same. First, a ready-made flower is made, and then the leaves and the main background become attached to it, which turns into a square.

In the variant presented here, the transition to the square shape is carried out using a simple grid of air loops. To sustain a square shape, this method helps: at the corners of the workpiece, not one arch is tied, but two, as if twisting a hook under one base.

Leaves in this scheme are made separately, and then sewn. An example of a leaf can be as follows: we knit a chain of air loops and form 3 loops from it. Then we tie them in a column without a crochet in such a way as to grab the far edge of the eyelet and hide the hole that formed.

Rose from the ribbon

Let's consider one more option, which suggests making crochet roses. Schemes of petals and leaves are extremely simple and understandable. It is knitted in one row. The essence of all this method is that in the end we get a ribbon that folds and forms the flower itself.

We collect an arbitrary number of air loops. We first knit the first petal from two columns with a crochet and two chains of air loops around the edges. Then we make one half-column and again we type a chain of 3 in / p. We make 2 more bells with a crochet.

The third petal should be larger. Therefore, we increase the number of nakids and the columns themselves. Consequently, the number of air loops in the chain will also increase.

By this algorithm we knit an arbitrary number of petals. But it is worth remembering that too few of them will not give a beautiful bud, but too much - they will not fit well into the finished flower.

We twist the rose

When all the petals in the ribbon are ready, the first stage is completed, representing crochet roses. We consider the leaf schemes at the last stage. And now we proceed to the formation of a flower.

To do this, we begin to twist the ribbon from the smaller petal to the larger one. At the same time, try not just to twist into a tube, namely to form a bud. To "roll" did not fall apart, periodically sew the lower part of the petals.

When the rose is collected, we sew the bottom part thoroughly with the help of the same yarn, from which the flower is made.

Now you can proceed to the leaves.
