Create interesting and unusual calendars with your own hands

Today, almost everything can be bought: there is no shortage of goods, besides, the choice is now really huge. Good? And who is arguing? On the other hand, there is a pattern ... but truly original things come across not so often. And I want to be extraordinary, to boast (at least to myself) an exclusive. This simple desire to stand out to some extent served as an impetus to the fact that people engaged in needlework, began to attend various master classes and combine business with pleasure. Let's follow their example. Let's turn our attention to ... calendars. You can make a real masterpiece with your hands! Well, shall we begin?

Painting

The easiest way to create calendars with your own hands is to draw them with the children. If this is a wall calendar, you will need a Whatman paper if the pocket one is just a small piece of white cardboard. First of all, you need to think about how the figures will be placed on paper. There are many options. In the case of the paper, months and numbers can be placed along the entire perimeter, as if creating a clock face. You can also make a classic calendar, the upper part of which is occupied by a drawing, and below are the dates. If the calendar is pocket-sized, then the numbers will be located on one side of it (the reverse one), and the drawing on the other side, the front one. What can I draw? There are already options - a huge amount. You just need to decide what you would like to admire the whole year, of course, given the age of the children. It is worth noting that such a calendar is an excellent gift for grandparents who do not often see a child.

Applications

To make calendars with your own hands, you can resort to the technique of applique. The creation process itself will be similar to the previous one: you need to come up with a story, and also decide how the numbers will be placed. If there is an idea, you can get down to business. First, it is better to prepare the numbers. So, you can cut out everything from newspapers or magazines, trying to pick up about the same font and the size of letters to indicate months and digits - for dates. After gluing the calendar itself, you need to draw some drawing on the remaining space. Options - darkness, again, everything will depend on the desire and interests of the master himself.

Buttons

We suggest you create an interesting wall calendar. With their hands, almost everything will be done. So, we master the removable button calendars. What will it take to create it? Frame, plywood, fabric (thin for the base and felt for letters), Velcro, buttons (the same size). First, you need to cut the main fabric to the size of the frame itself (taking into account the allowances for bending). Now we need to decide how the buttons will be placed. Most likely, you need to make seven bars and five rows. On top and on the right you need to leave a little space for the inscriptions (the names of the month and the days of the week). Now to each button from the back side you need to sew a piece of Velcro, the other part is sewn on the fabric exactly in the place where the buttons with dates will be fastened. Yes, you need to paste pre-printed and cut out the numbers on the buttons. Thus, you will have a universal calendar, on which every month you can easily change the buttons and place them in the right places. Now it remains to work with the inscriptions (they will also be attached to a couple of stickers). The basis for them can be made from felt, and from above to sew or stitch quite a thick paper on which this or that name of the month will already be written or printed. That's all, the original and every year the current calendar is ready!

Sewing

You can also try to make calendars yourself. This requires a rather dense fabric. The calendars will change the numbers every week. First you need to stitch together six pre-cut squares of the desired size, which will be responsible for the first six days of the week. Sunday will be placed at the very bottom, stretching through the entire calendar. The base is ready. Now you need to stick Velcro to the place where the numbers will be located (ideal - right bottom of each square). On the left there will be a small window-pocket, in which you can write what is important to happen on this day. Also there it will be possible to leave pieces of paper-memo: what to do or who needs to be congratulated. Above, on the remaining place, you can sew something interesting: the sun, the cloud, the flower - everything that only the soul wills. Where we left the place for Sunday, we will need to put the name of the month (again on velcro). From below, if desired, you can make several pockets to store paper and a pen for writing. That's all, the original calendar that perfectly fits, for example, for a children's room, is ready!

Quilling

And now we'll tell you how to make a desktop calendar with your own hands in the quilling technique. So, for the basis you will need a design cardboard (so the finished product will look very colorful and original), which is folded in a triangle, so that it perfectly adheres to the base. Next, you need to print and paste around the center of the stand itself calendar. The remaining space on the left is for decoration, on the right, you can glue a small block with tear-off sheets to make notes. Now fill the left (left) part. If a person only gets acquainted with the technique of quilling (skilful paper twisting ), you need to choose a simpler decor, for example, simple and at the same time very beautiful curls. Also, everything can be decorated with leaves and flower petals, which in this technique is quite easy to make. Now everything is glued to the base. Such calendars, created by themselves, will be an excellent decoration and complement of the interior.

A photo

Do not know what else would be so unusual to think of? Try making calendars with photos of yourself. This will, again, be an excellent gift for grandparents or other relatives who live away from you. So, you can make a tear-off calendar, where for each month the corresponding photo will be glued. Alternatively, you can go to the printing house and make a large wall calendar on the layout, the background of which will be your photo or a photo of your friends, if you want to make it pleasant. This is a great idea, which many will like.
