Correct installation of sockets - a guarantee of their durability
Repairs with their own hands contribute to significant savings in money. But not always this saving is justified by the good quality of independently performed works, such as replacing the flooring, re-planning, finishing the walls, installing a cascade ceiling and even installing outlets. This is not surprising, because a person does not every year face repairs in his apartment, therefore, and experience has nowhere to undertake. And companies that perform repair work have experienced skilled workers in their staff who unfortunately will not work for free. Therefore, not having enough money, many owners of apartments repair work perform independently.
How to install the sockets
Installation of the sockets begins with an accurate marking of the wall surface in the places of their future location. Proceeding from the places defined by the sockets, the wiring from the junction box is entered at the entrance to the room to the future outlets.
Installation in walls
If the wall is concrete, then before using the crown, it is necessary to drill a dozen holes with a perforator in the socket taken away from the socket. This will facilitate the work of the crown and prevent the possibility of breaking the teeth, which sometimes happens when the walls are made of quality concrete. The socket box is securely fixed in the hole with an asbestos solution and the further installation of the outlets is a simple installation. For this purpose, the ends of the wires (not less than ten centimeters) drawn through the outlet box are connected to the contacts of the socket and fixed in the socket box.
Installation in drywall
In the holes are mounted outlet boxes, specially designed for installation in partitions and hollow sections. Their difference from the usual is that on the sides they have special clamping screws, which with the help of metal petals reliably fix the outlet box to the walls of gypsum board. Otherwise, the installation of the outlets is the same as when installing in walls - with the only difference that it is much easier to work with gypsum cardboard than with concrete walls.
