Composition on "Compassion". Theme of compassion and mercy

Subjects of school essays can be very different. Undoubtedly, it must correspond to the current curriculum and be aimed at improving the child's grammatical, linguistic and speech skills. Equally important, however, is the upbringing of a full-fledged, diversified personality in this respect, which necessitates the selection of topics of essays affecting moral, ethical, and cultural issues.

Types of essays

Most often in school practice, three main types of tasks of this nature are used. Depending on the class, preference is given to the composition-description, narrative or reasoning. In the first case, students are given a specific object, which in a sense needs to be transferred to paper, in the form of text. He can be both presented materially and imaginatively, which belongs exclusively to the child's consciousness.

The most common objects for writing essay-descriptions are reproductions of paintings, all sorts of objects like vases, pens or, for example, books. Equally rare are the tasks relating to the description of the appearance of a friend, mother or a neighbor by the desk. Finally, the landscape or sculpture that the child has ever seen can be used as an object of description.

The second kind - the composition-narrative - is actively used to find out what the child is interested in, determine his propensities, preferences, psychological state. A typical example is the work devoted to summer rest or, for example, a hike in a theater with a class.

Finally, the most used in middle and high school is composition-reasoning. Its characteristic feature is the mandatory formulation of the problem and the search for students ways to solve it. It could be an essay on "Compassion" or on Hamlet's interaction with the outside world. We'll consider this first option in this article.

Why do we need essays on this topic?

Such simple phenomena as compassion, humanity, kindness and love of life seem to us quite natural. However, if you look at modern cinema, animation, literature, you can find that they are all somewhat leveled. Take, for example, a huge number of militants about the so-called "tough guys" who look at children with such pleasure and attention. The same applies to computer games-shooters, which they prefer.

The essay on "Compassion" must necessarily be asked by students to preserve the notion of humanity. Works of this kind maximally contribute to the upbringing of a full-fledged sensible person who is able to realize the value of life and listen to the opinions of another person.

How to give it to children

The era of blind moralization in the school long ago passed. Modern children basically absorb information through the prism of personal impressions, and, accordingly, need them for more or less deep reflection.

If the teacher plans to give the children a test paper on "Compassion" as a test, he should approach the choice of the material, the very problems with the utmost seriousness.

Why it is impossible to give similar work without a context? It's very simple - a modern schoolboy knows perfectly well what exactly the teacher wants to see in his work. That is why he will not, especially straining himself, go into serious reasoning and statements of his own opinion. Instead, the essay will spell out the truisms, formulated in the most primitive form. Composition on "Compassion" Must necessarily be given in the context of any situation.

Selecting the actual database

In this respect, the teacher really needs to make maximum efforts. He should always remember that the work on "Compassion" is an essay, the reasoning in which plays the most significant, key role. And the stronger the impressions of the student, the better he will cope with the task.

Best for this are not the situations described in the literature, but what happens in real life. These or other events that take place in reality are much closer and more understandable to the students, which means that their comprehension will be deeper.

The theme of compassion in works devoted to some historical dates is best revealed. As an example, we can cite the events of the Great Patriotic War, the September 11 terrorist attack in the USA or, for example, the flood, which is constantly spoken in the news. In this situation, each student feels, if not a writer, then a full-fledged reporter, for whom the main goal is to "touch another heart."

Questions with a trick

In order to encourage students to active reasoning, binding to a historical or literary fact is absolutely not necessary. To make the class interested in the proposed topic, it is enough simply to focus the students' attention on the necessary question. In particular, this applies to topics that affect the moral and ethical standards of life.

On the subject of "Compassion", essay-reasoning must necessarily include an element of controversy or acute, conflictual issues. This is the only way to make a child really think about and feel what the work is aimed at. Well in such cases, questions like "What does compassion for man need?". In this case, the main task of the teacher is to push the child to meditation, the actual processing of information and finding his own options for solving the task.

If you use the literature

Nevertheless, with the correct approach of the teacher, essays written with the use of one or another studied work are much more relevant in relation to following the school curriculum.

In such situations, not only the student's reasoning takes place, but also the actualization of knowledge gained in past occupations.

The only difficulty in this respect lies in the correct choice of the material that should be used for composition-reasoning. For a positive result, not all examples of compassion described in the literature provided for in the school curriculum are suitable.

It is not at all necessary to choose specific situations where this phenomenon has already been described by the author. Much better for such works are suitable works in which the problem of compassion remains implicit, but raised by the author at a sufficient level and understandable to young readers.

This theme in the work should be highlighted especially brightly, and the students should not remain indifferent to the hero's experiences.

With what to connect a similar theme

It is not necessary to concentrate on this particular problem, it is sufficient to only touch upon it. Much more complete, capacious and interesting are the essays in which the students are trying to decide what is more necessary for a person, or works devoted to the question of whether it is possible to justify one or another act.

As an option - to submit the topic in the form of a kind of dilemma: "Compassion and cruelty" or, for example, in the form of such a question: "Can a person live without compassion?". With the correct approach of the teacher, you can find a huge number of tasks that contribute to the formation of the child's personality .

Synonymic Context

The more creative the teacher's approach to this work is, the better will be the result. The theme of compassion and charity can be revealed in the context of other positive qualities or a specific example.

It's good when the teacher turns to the personal experience of the students. In particular, this can be done by asking the class to describe the most vivid examples of compassion that students have been able to face in life.

Doing a homework or working in a classroom?

Finally, a very large percentage of the success of the result depends directly on the form that the teacher chooses to carry out this kind of work. In particular, this concerns a temporary organization. In the case of a composition-description or composition-narrative, the standard lesson is quite sufficient, since the student's task is a simple description of reality or impressions.

Composition-reasoning - the work is somewhat different, requiring a full reflection and transformation of thoughts into the text. That is why assignments of this kind are more appropriately given at home, so that the child has the opportunity to carefully think things over, draw conclusions and solve the questions posed to himself.
