Cod stew - tender pleasure

This fish has a gentle consistency, and in combination with some ingredients it becomes simply divine. You can prepare it in many ways. Cod stew is one of the options, quick and simple. Such a recipe should be at every mistress at hand.

A simple recipe

To begin with, the simplest recipe with a minimal set of products. But this does not mean that the dish will turn out to be ordinary. The aroma and taste of this culinary creation is simply magnificent. You will need 500 grams of cod fillets, two medium-sized onions, three small carrots, a set of spices (bay leaf, pepper, salt), sunflower oil, vinegar and a little flour for breading. Fish fillets are cut into pieces of medium size. Cod stewed in too small portions will not look presentable. Then we pan each piece in flour (without forgetting salt and pepper) and fry in a pan with the addition of fat (vegetable oil). Carrots and onions cut and three on a grater, put in a bowl with a thick bottom and a small amount of oil. Stew the vegetables, adding bay leaf and pepper. After 10-15 minutes, when the vegetables are almost ready, pour a spoonful of vinegar to them and put a spoonful of tomato paste. All mix. We spread the fried fish on top of vegetables and all together for about 6-9 minutes. The dish is ready. At first, a cod stew is laid out on a plate, and vegetables are placed on top. Cod in sour cream

Sour cream gives the fish even more tenderness, so these two ingredients are often combined. Cod stewed with onion is very fragrant and tasty. For cooking, take a kilogram of cod, two onions, 250 grams of fatty sour cream, flour for breading, a little fresh greens, vegetable oil and spices. Cut the fillet into small portions and carefully dry, so that when frying, a beautiful crust has turned out. Sprinkle the fish with salt and pepper and leave for a while. Onions are cleaned and cut into half rings. Then fry it on vegetable oil until it is beautiful, golden in color. We put it on a plate and set it aside. Now let's start frying fish. We do this in the usual way, panning it in flour. After this, we put the fish in a bowl with a thick bottom and cover it with onions. All we fill with sour cream and stew for about 15 minutes. Fire should be minimal. Braised cod is served with any side dish.

Cod in dill sauce

This dish is more original, but not difficult to prepare. You will need 600 grams of cod (fillets), 30 grams of flour, 40 grams of butter, 125 ml of cream, 50 ml of white wine, 100 ml of broth, a bunch of fresh dill, a little parsley and spices. The fillet is dried and cut into portions. We chop the greens very finely. Preheat in a separate bowl of cream and broth. In a saucepan, melt butter and fry flour in it. Then pour in it a warmed broth and cream. We do this slowly, constantly stirring with a whisk. Next, pour in the wine and cook the sauce for about 7 minutes. Now it should be seasoned and seasoned with spices. You can add a little sugar. Lastly, we add chopped greens. In the sauce, put pieces of fish, cover with foil or lid and stew for about 5 minutes until cooked. Braised cod perfectly matches with potatoes or rice.

Cod stewed in a multivariate

For a quick cooking of cod, you can use the multivark. Take two onions, two carrots, 700 grams of fish, butter and spices. Vegetables cut and fry in a quenching mode for about 5 minutes.
