Candles with belladonna. Solving delicate problems

Belladonna (Belladonna) is a perennial plant of the Solanaceae family. Has a strong branched rhizome, a powerful stem, large oval leaves. Flowers belladonna violet color, and ripe fruits are dark berries. In the wild, the plant is found in the Caucasus, the Crimea and the Carpathians. Places of growth: forest, mountain slopes, banks of rivers and road curbs. Krasavka is cultivated in many European countries. The leaves of the plant contain scopolamine, atropine, belladonin, hyoscyamine. The alkaloid cuscigrin is obtained from the roots.

Preparations of belladonna are used as an analgesic and anti-spasmolytic agent. Pharmacological properties are due to alkaloid atropine, under the influence of which the tone of the bile ducts, intestines and stomach, uterus and bronchi decreases. Belladonna belongs to a poisonous plant, so the use of these drugs without the supervision of a doctor is unacceptable.

Categorically prohibited drugs with bellies for heart disease and glaucoma. They should not be used in nursing mothers, because lactation worsens.

In diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, accompanied by increased acidity, tablets "Bellallin", "Bicarbon", "Bepasal" and "Besalol" are used.

Candles with krasavka extract

This dosage form is indicated for topical use with hemorrhoids for healing of cracks and pain relief. Also, candles with a belladonna can be appointed in the postoperative period to accelerate the restoration of the walls of the anal canal. In addition to drug treatment, patients are usually recommended a diet high in fiber as prevention from constipation.

Candles with belladonna, in addition to the plant extract, contain phenol, which has a laxative effect. According to the instructions, indications for the use of the drug are external, internal and residual hemorrhoids, fistulas and cracks in the anus. However, today candles with belladonna are prescribed to their pregnant patients by gynecologists. Thanks to the spasmolytic effect of the atropine alkaloid, this drug relaxes the smooth muscles of the uterus, contributing to effective preparation for childbirth. However, in this issue, not all doctors agree. It should be noted that in this issue gynecologists divided into two camps. Some appoint candles with belladonna almost all of their patients immediately before childbirth. Others consider this not only optional, but even unacceptable.

Producers of preparations containing belladonna often among the contraindications to use indicate the state of pregnancy. This is due to the relaxing effect that belladonna has. There are no negative effects on the fetus, but they can cause a miscarriage at short notice.
As a rule, candles with belladonna are prescribed in combination with another spasmolytic - no-spy. This allows not only to prepare the uterus for the safe and prompt resolution of labor, but also to avoid subsequent complications. However, the response to rectal suppositories in all women is individual. If the patient does not suffer from constipation, the phenol contained in the candles may be weakened too much. But the liquid stool is not just discomfort, but additional dehydration.
Therefore, when prescribing these medications, the pregnant woman is recommended to monitor her condition more carefully and to inform the treating doctor about adverse reactions such as dry mouth, constant thirst, palpitations.
If necessary, candles with bellies can be replaced with rectal suppositories containing papaverine.

Preparations containing belladonna (suppositories and tablets) are also used as anesthetics for painful menstruation. It should be noted that in traditional medicine belladonna has always been widely used to solve delicate female problems, because this plant not only relieves painful sensations, but also calms the nervous system. And in critical days, increased irritability is observed in almost all representatives of the fair sex.
