Block, "In the restaurant," analysis. Intent and fiction

Everyone lives in the world of those hopes, illusions, representations that he himself produces for himself. Especially the poet, especially such as Alexander Blok. Worlds of different people may overlap, but may not correlate at all. The loneliness that Blok is experiencing in the restaurant, the analysis will show how completely different, peculiar only to his hero attitude, who wants to live like everyone else, but can not.

Memories

Was it or was it not the burnt and opened sky, which the dawn fire made pale and on which the lanterns stand out? Verbs of the poem are used only in the past tense. All the memories of his lyrical hero are like illusions, the softness and tenderness of which are largely created by alliteration of the repeated "L", "H". But the beginning consists of the assonances "neither", "not", sounding in pronunciation as "neither" nor "not." All this immediately creates a subtle piercing melody, woven with nostalgia.

Where is loneliness more acute?

The Hero placed Blok in the restaurant. The analysis shows his presence in the hall, crowded with people, and some alienation - he is at the window, and therefore simultaneously outside the premises. He is obviously at the table alone and, glancing around the room, meets an unearthly vision. The reader understands this at once - he would not have ordered a black rose as a symbol of sadness and love in a tall glass filled with golden champagne to another girl. The violins sing about her. The girl is young, exquisite and sublime. She is a hero at once and unconditionally. The whole room immediately becomes empty. So it draws Block. In the restaurant (the analysis will emphasize this) there are only two.

Together and Separately

She looked arrogantly at the one who sent the sign of attention. The lyrical hero was embarrassed, but boldly withstood her gaze. And even in return, he bowed slightly. The presence of consonants in the verbs "looked and met", standing side by side, slows down the process, deprives it of instantness. And then the roaring "R" will emphasize the deliberate, thoughtful sharpness of the girl when she turns to her escort. And yet her hands trembled slightly, with the frenzied sounds of music. She did not remain indifferent to the silent message and worship of her beauty. Contrary to her youthful contempt (a beautiful metaphor), the girl is attracted to a stranger. To stop her uncontrolled feelings, she quickly leaves the restaurant, like a frightened bird. Easy as a dream, she walks past the table, smelling the perfume, shaking the restaurant air, the movement of silks that whisper anxiously. Sizzling "F" and "S" convey the rustle of silk. Soft "L" emphasize the grace of the heroine's movements. So continues Blok in the restaurant (an analysis of this says) to show the girl's fear of suddenly arose feeling and flight from him. She just never experienced anything like this and rushed off like a bird from a cage.

Seeing off

The lyrical hero remains again alone. Exalted communication was interrupted, and there is no hope for its renewal. This is described by the analysis of Blok's poem "At the Restaurant." Although he sees in the mirrors her calling views - follow me, stop, hold, do not leave me with the bored knight. But the hero remains immobile - he too has pride in excess of measure, which prevents him from moving, running, catching up, begging, losing his face. And let the thundering monsters rumble in the dancing gypsies and squealing about love, squealing it with shrill voices. This concludes the analysis of Blok's poem "At the Restaurant."

Poetic Tracks

The transfer of the secrets of the Block's recording is an ungrateful and very difficult task. In the text of the article there was a small attempt to reflect the individual features of the poet's verse. But it is simply full of bright musical wealth, when there is a roll of sounds, thanks to which the poems are expressive and expressive. Let's do a simpler analysis of the verse "At the Restaurant." The block uses epithets (in the dawn of the fire), simple comparisons (the sky is pale, the dawn is yellow). All the second quatrain is the most amazing oxymoron. Anapaest, with which the poem is written, forming a rhythm and sound, makes you follow the actions of the lyric hero and empathize with him.

Images of women in Blok's lyrics

Behind persons hidden by dark veils or masks, behind the silks wrapping the mill, behind narrow hands, women appear in the mist or in the haze of a woman who, with their appearance, look, gesture, drive mad. They are found on the streets, but more often among restaurant tables or on stage. This is in part an analysis of Blok's poem "At the Restaurant." Briefly you can ask: "Who inspired the poet to create unearthly images?" There were not many of them, these women. As the poet said before his death, I had two women: "Lyuba (his wife) and everyone else." But to all, and most of all it was influenced by four women, there was a quivering attitude, admiration and passion. Who were they? Ksenia Sadovskaya, when he first fell in love with 16 years old, Lyubov Mendeleeva, his wife, his beautiful lady, Natalia Volokhova, dramatic actress and Love Andreeva-Delmas, opera singer. He tossed between women until he returned to his wife, who was already faithful until his death in 1921.
