Cake with kiwi "Green turtle"
Let's have a little rest and have a tea party! And as a dessert, prepare a cake with kiwi. A pleasant light fruit sour is perfectly combined with cream and walnut. Kiwi has many useful properties. It tastes like strawberries, gooseberries or melons, and it contains a lot of vitamins and minerals useful for health and elasticity of the skin, strong immunity, good figure and excellent mood.
Ingredients for cakes
For the basis, take the usual biscuit dough. Just add a little walnuts to it. Our recipe for cake with kiwi is simple. Preparation takes quite a bit of time. We take:
- 250 g of sugar;
- 150 g of flour;
- 6 eggs;
- a bag of baking powder;
- vanillin;
- walnuts - 100 g;
- salt on the tip of the knife.
Prepare the right biscuit
Add to the cake with kiwi, more precisely, in the dough, walnuts. To do this, we clean them, lightly fry them in a frying pan, grind them in a blender to the state of flour. Separately mix sugar, salt and vanillin, add eggs and beat with a mixer for about 4-5 minutes before lush, but not strong foam. Flour sift through a sieve, mixed with baking powder, chopped nuts and gradually add to the eggs, continuing to whisk. The dough should not be very liquid, but as a thick sour cream.
We grease the form with vegetable oil and fill it with two thirds. Before baking, leave it for a few minutes on the desktop. The dough will evenly cover the mold, and a light crust forms on its surface. Now you can bake. For many it is more convenient to use a split form - then it is easier to take out of it. In the oven, select the temperature 180 degrees and bake for about half an hour.
Do not immediately take out the biscuit from the mold. Let it cool down. This will take about 5-6 hours. A good sponge cake should "stay" upside down. Then its surface will be smooth, without a hill. You can set 3-4 wide cups on the table and turn the cake over them. And that it does not dry, you can cover with a dry towel.
Impregnation for cakes
In order to make a biscuit cake with kiwi more juicy and delicate, we will prepare a special impregnation. It is used before lubricating the cakes with cream. We need:
- water - 1 item;
- coffee - 3 tbsp. L .;
- sugar - 3 tbsp. L.
In a small saucepan, dissolve sugar in water and, stirring, heat to boil. Cool it down.
Interlayer for cakes
Our cake with kiwi fits well with creamy cream. For him we will need:
- cream of 30% fat content - 450 g;
- powdered sugar - 200 g.
As you know, the cream is whipped well chilled. Therefore, before preparing the cream, we will send them for a couple of hours to the refrigerator. Then beat the mixer, gradually introducing sugar powder, for 5 minutes before the formation of soft peaks. It is better not to use sugar - often it does not have time to melt.
Picking cake with kiwi
Ready and cooled biscuit we divide into 2 cakes and soak each with coffee syrup. It's good to use a pastry brush made of silicone. It allows you to evenly apply the liquid on the entire surface. We do not lubricate the inner porous part of the cake, but the outer one, on which the crust formed, and turn it inward. So the cake will permeate well on all sides.
Dress up turtle
Before you decorate the kiwi cake, send it for a couple of hours in the fridge. So it will be better impregnated, the top layers of a cream will set and it is easier to decorate. In the meantime, prepare the fruit. Our cake will be in the form of a green turtle.
