To the upper side sew a zipper 20 cm long from the middle of the side to the edges, not reaching the end about 15 cm.

To ensure that the envelope is not too large for the baby, the blanket on the extract should be sewn with the sides no more than 75-80 cm.

Usually such a product is made without lace burrs, but if an additional lace corner-liner is sewn to it, and a beautiful fabric is chosen for the base, then such an envelope will be very elegant.

Sewing a baby blanket with your own hands is not difficult, if you have experience working on a sewing machine.

Knitted blanket

If the task of sewing a blanket with your own hands seems too complicated and the soul is more to knit, then such an envelope will also turn out to be very nice. Crocheted lace of beautiful soft threads or funny elements with bunnies or roses will look just charming. Tying a crochet blanket is a great idea for those who are fond of knitting. And the wicker can only be a duvet cover, and the base of the blanket can be made from sintepon and fabric.

The knitted blanket will also look nice with knitting needles. Soft and warm with braids or lace motifs and with broaches from satin ribbons - just a wonderful option.

It is best to give preference to either cotton or acrylic threads. The first option is suitable for summer, and the second one will be relevant in the cold season. The winter version of the envelope can be connected from thick threads, but you should take into account that they must be soft and in no case do not prick.
