LFK in scoliosis can be prescribed at various stages of the disease. Undoubtedly, the greatest effectiveness from therapeutic physical education is at an early stage of the disease. Complex exercise therapy in scoliosis helps to strengthen the muscles of the trunk and the formation of a muscular corset. Thus, the stabilizing effect on the entire spine is carried out, posture is improved and the deformities of the spinal column are corrected (corrected). It is not recommended to try to accelerate the elimination of scoliosis on your own, trying to stretch the spine more intensively or doing exercises faster. Such manipulations can contribute not to cure, but, on the contrary, to the progression of the disease.

You can independently exercise exercise therapy in scoliosis. Exercises in this case should only be from the basic course of gymnastics, recommended for minor violations of posture, in the early stages of curvature of the spine.

  1. Movements should be made slowly, following the posture and tension of one or another muscle group.

  2. When performing exercises, you need to dose physical exercise, monitor your well-being and prevent deterioration. It is recommended to start with a slight load and then increase it.

  3. In the exercise of exercise therapy in scoliosis, all movements associated with increased flexibility of the vertebral column, and also including elements of the trunk rotation relative to the vertical axis, should be eliminated.

  4. It is necessary to alternate the load for the muscular group of hands and the shoulder girdle with the load of the leg muscles.

  5. From the complex of exercises it is necessary to exclude vises on the crossbeam, active traction of the spine.

Gymnastics should be practiced every day. At the end of the session, it is recommended to rest in a horizontal position on the side for 15-20 minutes.

Before the start of the exercises, warm-up is required. For example, you can perform the following movements: when you touch the wall with the buttocks, heels and calf muscles, the correct posture is taken . Keeping this position of the body, you should move 1-2 steps from the wall. Breathing should be done without delay.

After the warm-up, the main set of exercises follows. They are picked up by a specialist. In the main section there is, for example, such an exercise: in the starting position, the hands should be placed on the shoulders, with the elbows in the sides. At the expense of "1, 2, 3, 4", the elbows are rotated forward, then backwards. The amplitude of the movements should be insignificant, the tempo is slow. We recommend 2-3 repetitions.
