Artist-impressionist Bato Dugarzhapov, paintings: description, interesting facts and reviews

Bato Dugarzhapov, whose paintings amaze with their lightness and aesthetics, is a popular Russian artist. His canvases can be seen at the best domestic and foreign exhibitions.

Who is he? How did he find himself in art? And what are his works so remarkable about? Let's find out.

Childhood

The future impressionist painter Bato Dugarzhapov was born in the winter of 1966 in the large prosperous village of Duldurg, located in the basin of the picturesque river Chita region.

Over time, the family moved to Moscow, where the boy was trained in the capital's art school. The painter's talent was inherent in the child from childhood. Under his light, gifted hand, vivid images came to life on a sheet of white paper.

The skill of the young artist did not go unnoticed. At the age of seventeen, Bato Dugarzhapov, whose paintings attracted his eyes with his freshness and originality, received an encouraging diploma for the best composition. The contest was held between all the art schools of the Soviet Union.

Creative youth

After receiving secondary education, the young Bato entered the monumental department of the Academic Institute. Surikova - one of the leading art universities in Russia.

However, the painting and decoration of the buildings did not appeal to the talented Dugarzhapov. He did not like to sit in prison and write on the orders and opinions of the customer. Bato wanted to create himself, to capture personal thoughts and views on the canvas, to convey his own vision of beauty and style.

Therefore, while still educated at the institute, the young man takes part in the All-Union Exhibition of Young Artists, taking place in Moscow. And later, after graduating from high school, Bato Dugarzhapov, whose paintings have already gained some fame, signs a contract for five years and goes to France.

Creativity abroad

There, he paired with other inexperienced artists falls into some slavish subordination to his employers, which make novice painters write for wear, and the payment for the work was scanty and did not match the real value. In Paris, many paintings of Bato were in high demand and exhibited in the auction hall of Drouot.

In time, rebelling, Dugarzhapov decides to leave his dishonest employers and secretly returns to Moscow, where he gives his head to a free activity and takes an active part in the capital's exhibitions and galleries.

Time spent abroad, Bato assesses in two ways. On the one hand, he sold his best works for nothing, without meeting either respect or gratitude. On the other hand, the work awarded him with immense experience and unprecedented skill. Dugarzhapov had the opportunity to create continuously, giving himself to creative impulses with all his heart. He learned to write quickly and accurately, so now he can create fifty or sixty paintings a month!

For the French period, the artist is obliged to write many talented popular paintings, such as "Versailles" (written in 2006).

For the painter, in the first place is not the image of the grandeur and impressive architecture of Versailles, but the transmission of a kind, gentle mood, which permeates every line, every feature of the canvas. Air and nature give freedom and lightness, some inaccessibility and ecstasy, so that the picture can not be torn off.

Creative habits

Many people have a question about where the artist Bato Dugarzhapov creates his masterpieces. Pictures of the painter are created in the fresh air. The painter likes to write from nature, diluting the colors on the spot and practicing small details. Therefore, the artist's paintings are not bulky in size.

What paints does the artist Bato Dugarzhapov use? Paintings of the master are written in oil. The painter personally mixes colors, creating the necessary tones and shades, so that his creations breathe with weightlessness, lightness and purity.

In some interviews Dugarzhapov admits that his studio is not intended for creative work. It is all cluttered with paintings and sketches, unoccupied canvases and other art supplies. Therefore it is not surprising that a painter who adores freedom and fresh air prefers to create outside the studio walls.

Own exhibitions

In the mid-1990s, Bato Dugarzhapov, whose paintings are beginning to gain all-Russian popularity, receives several invitations to hold personal exhibitions. This favorably affects the creative search for the artist. At first he exhibits his works several times in Chita, then in Moscow (in the Central House of Artists).

One of the most popular paintings that are present at Dugarzhapov's personal exhibitions is "Wisteria". The canvas belongs to the Crimean series of paintings by the painter, and, surprisingly, in the foreground not the sea or the beach is depicted, but the blossoming of a beautiful southern tree.

The picture is dominated by delicate light colors that focus the look on the most important and most beautiful thing Dugarzhapov wanted to convey - on the formation of a new life, a new flowering, a new splendor.

Due to this Dugarzhapov attracts attention not only at home, but also abroad. The Russian Impressionist painter is beginning to be invited to foreign exhibitions. Here it is necessary to mention the participation of Bato in Milan's exhibition "The World of Flowers" (Italy) and London's "Gallery of Amadeus" (England).

Monumental activity

At the age of thirty-three, the artist is invited to the creative group Maksimov for painting the cult building. For his life, Bato repeatedly used his skills as a master monumentalist.

The huge images-frescoes, which needed to be decorated, made a great impression on Dugarzhapov's imagination. For example, he had to paint sixteen-meter wings of Seraphim with a roller. Such creative activity inspired and fascinated.

However, the painter admits that participating in the painting of the temples did not make him more a believer. His faith is small, but he hopes to come to God with all his heart sooner or later.

Specificity of creativity

The paintings of Bato Dugarzhapov differ from many modern creations with their gentle, luminous painting and purity. When you look at the works of the artist, it becomes easy and joyful on the soul. Cloths do not crush heavy realism or rough reality. The writing style is airy and sincere.

For example, the painting "Lagoon", painted by the artist in 2011. Canvas conveys not the power of the waves and the splendor of the surrounding expanses, but the tender blue of the sea, its quiet surface and cool, refreshing breath.

The surrounding landscapes, transmitted in frequent strong strokes, help to understand the soft, gentle solemnity of the sea landscape.
The light haze present in each picture gives the depicted objects a poetic romanticism, inner peace, quiet cheerfulness. Light tones invest serenity, cheerfulness and loftiness in the images depicted.

Painter Bato Dugarzhapov. Pictures. Reviews

Many, even slightly touching the work of a talented master, note that his paintings are sunny and airy, they have a good mood and faith in the beautiful. There is an opinion that the manner of the image is so bright and brilliant that it is impossible to look at pictures without squinting, like from dazzling sunlight.

One of the most striking examples of this is the picture "White dreams", which breathes the energy of the sea, the expression of the sun and incomprehensible supernatural bliss.

However, not everyone shares this positive point of view. Some do not understand impressionistic creativity at all, or they see in the paintings of Dugarzhapov only podmalevki and blurriness.

Well, to each his own.
