Anna Kern - the muse of Pushkin. A poem dedicated to Anna Kern

Anna Kern was born with the surname Poltoratskaya in 1800. Her parents were wealthy bureaucratic nobles. The father of the family happened to be a Poltava landowner and a councilor. Her mother, Catherine Ivanovna, can be described as a kind, but morbid and weakly woman. So the main thing in the family was the father.

Youth and Adulthood

The whole family lived on the territory of the estate, which belonged to the maternal grandfather. Then the parents and Anna Petrovna Kern moved to the territory of the county town of Lubny. Here the young girl's days passed, and her house was visited by Bernovo, an estate that her family possessed. The girl really enjoyed reading. Anna Kern went to social gatherings. Enthusiastic looks addressed her. And all because of her charming appearance.

Father, a business man, was concerned about the family life of his daughter, so that the groom for the girl was chosen by him. It was General Ermolai Fyodorovich Kern. The wedding took place when the girl was 17 years old. The groom has already gone sixty, but against the father's will to go to Anna Kern was not possible.

Life as a general's wife

Anna Petrovna Kern married in 1817. In her memoirs, she mentions that she does not like her husband and does not imagine being able to imbue him with a bright feeling. Even respect for him is not available. Hidden hatred takes place in this union.

When the children appeared, this did not improve the situation. Anna Kern did not show them warmth. She had two daughters. Life was not calm, because constantly had to move in connection with the service of her husband-general. I had to visit Pskov, Riga, Elizavetgrad, Old Bykhov and Dorpat.

Once in Kiev, the girl gets friends - Raevsky. She likes these people and their society. In every city she found like-minded people. In one of the houses of St. Petersburg she met Alexander Pushkin.

Rich personal life

From the records of a woman you can understand that she met a man who liked her. Anna Kern briefly describes this person and calls "dog rose".

Was her lover and landowner Arkady Rodzianko. June 1825 again brought her with Pushkin, when she was in Trigorskoye.

The poet was serving time of exile to the territory of the Mikhailovsky estate. Anna had another novel, when Alexey Wulf shared her happy days with her. Her family life ended when, after moving to St. Petersburg, she left the family, for which she was known as an indecent woman.

She was whispered about at secular evenings. However, she did not care too much about the opinion of the world, but lived a full life.

As already mentioned, Anna Kern was a very beautiful woman. Her portrait is proof of this. With age, she did not lose the charm, but only acquired new shades of it. When she was 36 years old, she had a love affair with the 16-year-old cadet, moreover, this young man was her second cousin. Indeed, there are no barriers to love!

However, her fervor a little pougas, when Anna Kern was able to become a quiet home-stay in connection with the appearance of an illegitimate son from Alexander Markov-Vingradsky. When the year 1841 took the life of General Kern, Anna became free from past marriage obligations by a woman.

Second marriage

In connection with the solid position of the deceased spouse, Anna was paid good pension payments. After General Kern, she had another husband, who became Alexander Markov-Vingranovsky. For the sake of official life with him, a woman sacrifices the money she receives as a widow.

She had tuberculosis. So, in the absence of significant money, the family has not experienced the simplest times. The couple held fast to each other and courageously passed through all the trials until the stomach cancer took Alexander from the living world.

Pushkin in her life

St. Petersburg was the first meeting place where Anna Kern, Pushkin's muse, first appeared to the poet's eye. It was in 1819. The great poet did not get into her soul at first sight and made an impression very mediocre. She was not inspired by the rudeness of a literary genius. However, when she read his poems, he appeared before her in a completely different light. Liked almost every read poem Anna Kern.

In 1825 they meet again. Then the woman was in Trigorskoye. It was then that Pushkin's creative mind gives birth to the famous work "I remember a wonderful moment ...". Yes, yes, she was the one who appeared and induced him to create these wonderful lines.

At that time Alexey Wulf was the heart of Anna. Although she did not deny herself the pleasure and flirt with the landowner by the name of Rokotov, who lived nearby.

Correspondence

At that time, a woman's conversation with a poet was tied. He writes a letter to Anna Kern using French. He put a lot in his lines: there is a joke and seriousness. Pushkin always had a sharp tongue, and this only appealed to a woman. With him, for sure, it was impossible to get bored, so she was glad to communicate with him.

Two years later they meet again. It's Petersburg again. Pushkin wrote about this in a letter that his friend Sergei Sobolevsky received from him. In the text of the letter, the poet does not particularly choose expressions, roughly speaking of an intimate connection with Anna. Then he quickly translates the topic into monetary questions that he had with a friend. As we see, there is no need to speak of a tender love affair.

Relations

Anna Kern's memories of Pushkin, as we have already understood, were very diverse: sometimes negative, then positive. Interestingly, he somehow jokingly called her a Babylonian harlot in a letter that Alexei Wulf received from him. Such a strange one was sympathy, painted with a touch of sarcastic humor, which was so characteristic of Pushkin.

The poet himself had a rather extensive list of mistresses. Pushkin did not consider Anna to be her most beloved women. He just got carried away by it.

In the period of Pushkin's life together with Natalia Goncharova, Kern asked him for help. She needed him to help promote the translated book by George Sand to the publishing house of Alexander Smirnov. The poet's reaction to the request was rather harsh. Despite his poignancy, Anna treated Pushkin well, and it was reciprocal.

Farewell "meeting"

It is rumored that the last "encounter" between a woman and a poet took place. At the moment when her coffin was carried in a funeral procession along Tverskoy Boulevard, there was installed a statue of Pushkin. He was then imported to the territory of Moscow along the Tverskoy route. A poem and a ballad of other Russian poets are written about this fateful moment.

Although the relationship between Pushkin and Kern can be called "romantic", but one thing that the poet wrote in her honor, the very thing that all schoolchildren and all adults know, which touches the soul of everyone, is precisely the consequence of this somewhat peculiar union.

So the spark, and quite strong, in the soul of Alexander Sergeyevitch all the same broke out, and though for some brief moment he could throw everything at her feet. At some point, it seemed to him unearthly. And that very moment her appearance was really wonderful. What happened in the soul of an emotional and temperamental poet later is another matter. Life, as you know, is a fickle thing.

In any case, we can be grateful to fate that in due time she brought these people, thanks to which such a wonderful verse about a wonderful moment appeared to the world.
