"Aktiferrin" is a preparation that contains iron.

Iron is necessary for the life of the body, as it is part of myoglobin and hemoglobin, as well as other blood enzymes. It is involved in a number of oxidation-reduction reactions taking place in the body, in addition, it stimulates erythropoiesis.

When applying the drug "Aktiferrin" iron deficiency in the body is quickly replenished, and this leads to a gradual disappearance of laboratory and clinical signs of anemia. There is weakness and fatigue, dry and sore skin, dizziness and tachycardia.

Drug "Aktiferrin" is available in the form of syrup, capsules, but most often, in the form of drops that are taken orally. In 100 ml of drops contains 4.72 g of ferrous sulphate and other substances: ascorbic acid, potassium sorbate, sugar syrup, raspberry and cream flavors, ethanol (96%), purified water.

The drug "Aktiferrin" (the instruction contains information about indications for use) is prescribed for people who have anemia caused by iron deficiency in the body. Lack of iron can be observed in donors, with heavy bleeding in patients, during active growth of a person, during pregnancy and lactation, with malnutrition. The drug "Aktiferrin" has some contraindications for use. It can not be used by people who are hypersensitive to components that are suffering from hemosiderosis and hemochromatosis, as well as anemia that is not caused by iron deficiency, etc.

The drug is usually well tolerated. But some patients may experience side effects when taking the drug "Aktiferrin". The instruction indicates some of them: an allergic reaction, gastralgia, flatulence, constipation or, conversely, diarrhea. If the dose of the drug is reduced, then these phenomena usually disappear immediately.

When taking "Aktiferrin", it is possible to stain the feces in a dark color, which is not significant for treatment.

Drops are produced in a bottle of dark glass with a lid and a stopper-dropper. 1 bottle contains 30 ml of the drug.

The drug is stored at a temperature below 25 0 C for not more than 2 years. After the expiration date - do not use.
