A systematic approach to management. Dignities and shortcomings.

Now more and more businessmen realize the value of such a science as management, which includes many different directions on a wide variety of topics. It is the system approach in management that allows to optimize all stages of work at the enterprise, which, in turn, will certainly lead to a reduction in costs. The company is viewed as a single organism, made up of many separate pieces and elements with an emphasis on the connection between them.

A systematic approach to management emerged in the late 50s of the 20th century at the peak of the production boom. The scale and volume of production began to increase many times and decisions taken on the basis of old rules and regulations could not save the situation. There was an urgent need for something new, which would unite and adjust to the maximum productivity of huge complexes.

The first step in changing the ideology and rules of the time was the systematic nature of thinking. Now, when a problem occurs, applying this method, it was possible to construct a holistic picture of what was happening, see the weakest elements and prevent future difficulties. With the development of this science and the development of new rules, people have come to the most difficult. The systematic approach to personnel management is still considered to be the most complex, because each person is unique and sometimes there are situations that could not even be theoretically envisaged.

For the first time production as a social system began to be considered by American Ch. Barnard. According to his version, any organization will exist only if it has a hierarchy. Due to the fact that people are ready to unite and obey to achieve their goals, the vertical system is ideal. Any organization, other than the state or the church, he considered private. The system approach in management, according to his version, necessarily included the following elements:

1) The system of functioning.

2) The system of incentives.

3) The system of power.

4) Logical system for decision-making.

The main feature of this approach with a hierarchical structure is both strength - on the one hand, and weakness - on the other. In other words, everything depends on the person at the base of the whole system. If he has knowledge, works hard, tries to optimize his work as much as possible, then such a systematic approach to management will exist as long as this person exists.

At large enterprises, where more than 100 employees work, such functions are performed by managers, who in turn are supervised by a superior manager. Managers can be called simultaneously composers and conductors. Being directly at the place of production, they can quickly solve any problem, but all their actions depend on the goals and tasks that form the central figure in the vertical of power.

The system approach in management is complex enough and has many aspects that can change the end result. Its main task is to create an optimally functioning system that will not only allow you to see the whole picture, but also if you want to be able to optimize, refine or improve it to reduce costs.
